That is as far as I am going to extend today’s detail, because, as all things, they are subject to change.
A huge round of thunderous applause and a boatful of thanks to KARA HESSE & ANDREW JOSLYN for their incredible performance Saturday night. Not only was the joint a-rocking’, it was a-rollin with the energy and magic of a sold-out auditorium.
SO MUCH FUN. As most of you know (knew) we had a film crew out for the event for a soon-to-be-released CD, I am sure, or streaming and downloading at the very least. Cannot wait!
The BIG news this week is about our event featuring the COMMON GROUND film. Monday is EARTH DAY and we’ve put together a package sure to inspire. We’ll screen the sequel to the award-winning doc KISS THE GROUND, COMMON GROUND at 7pm (doors open at 6:30) and follow that with a panel discussion and a Q&A. Wanna make a change in the direction our planet is currently taking? Tickets are on-sale NOW at Farawayentertainment.com as well as at our cozy concession stand. I can unabashedly say, “You don’t want to miss this one.”
Lastly, the date has been etched in marble (almost) for our annual birthday celebration, this alum number 88. Write this down: July 6. We’ll take the same approach as last year and offer music, movies, film festival, food specials, comedy, and whatever else I can come up with on that long celebratory day. Ten to Midnight on July the 6th. The Big 88.
Here is the initial boiler plate PR release for the COMMON GROUND EVENT. Hope to see you here.
Monday, April 22, is Earth Day.
The Historic Lynwood Theatre will host an event with unlimited
potential to create the change necessary to address the myriad
challenges we all face regarding our food. At 6:30 doors will
open to the future of sustainable agriculture with the screening
of the sequel to the award-winning documentary, KISS THE
GROUND. The second in the three-part series on regenerative
farming, COMMON GROUND, will screen at 7 with a full panel
discussion and Q&A following. This important event will address
such timely and critical topics as the politics behind current
agricultural practices, global warming and climate change, the
economies of Big Ag, the differences between organic and
regenerative farming, how subsidized nutritional malfeasance
creates our health care nightmare, and a host of additional
topics all with the power to immediately foster the massive
change necessary to avoid a global food crisis. You can play a
part in this monumental movement, it is no longer enough to
simply vote, we must move our feet and get a little dirt under our
nails, today.
