Robin got a job as an energy trader in Houston, which is probably one of the most sought after jobs in Houston. He worked hard and finally got a quant position on the trade floor. One year after that, a trading seat opened up at another company and he got it! At this point, he felt like he made it. Tons of money coming in and a great job.

3 months in, he looked around and felt unfulfilled. He didn’t vibe with anyone, he didn’t enjoy it and just did it to get the status.

Instead of all that, focus on who you want to serve and how to build a brand around those people. Then go talk to those people and find their pain points. Create a solution around those pain points.

What Theme Do You Recommend?

When you are looking for a theme, make sure you commit to it for at least a year or so. A theme has a lot to do with the speed of a website and how it functions.

In recent years, page builders have come out and now most of the pages can be created with those.

The truth is, how things look does not matter. How it looks determines very little on if you’re going to make money or not.

How Do You Take Payments With Your Website?

How Can You Build a Site So It Converts?

First, you have to identify your sales mechanism. What is the thing that happened right before someone gave you their credit card? What is a webinar, 1 on 1 phone call?

That is the thing you need to focus all you’re marketing on! How are you going to get people to that one thing?

As far as colours go, colours mean certain things, but Greg doesn’t dwell on it.

Do not overthink it!

At the end of the day, what is going to work for one market is going to be different than what it going to work for your market.

Split Testing

Some systems will allow you to do split testing, where you show two or more separate audiences seeing different pages and see which one converts better. Typically, you only want to change 1 thing at a time so you know absolutely what is making the difference. If you are changing multiple things, then you are not really sure what is actually better.

Rob and Melissa Stephenson are a family of 5 that buy and sell items for profit! Rob started flipping 20 years ago when eBay was still young and 5 years ago, they both went full-time! Now, they teach people how to do the same thing as they do! Melissa married into it!

- Rob’s parents went to yard sales when he was growing up. That is where they got clothes for their kids. They also looked for commercial items that they could sell!

- Back in the day, there wasn’t eBay. They would buy at local flea markets and then put it on the classifieds in the newspapers.

What is your typical day?

- When part-time, they did 5-15 hours per week.

- Now when full-time, they are putting 20-30 hours per week, but they are splitting their business up with teaching now too.

- Rob typically sits on his phone at night and sources directly right on his phone! You don’t even need to go out and leave the house

- They spend 1-2 hours per week on Saturdays at the Flea Market and other sourcing stores, other than that, everything is done from the phone

Where do you buy/sell?

- LetGo

- eBay

- Craigslist

- They occasionally will go to auctions as well

- When they go on trips, they also use these apps to source on the road!

Interesting Story:

- Rob and Melissa went on a 30 day road trip and they spent $1400 to acquire items that amounted to $24,000 of inventory!

- This means that if they sold everything they bought for $1400, they would earn $24000 in revenue!

Brian has been in the business close to 40 years. Brian started the simple cleaning business on the side of a full time job. He couldn’t see him doing it for the rest of his life, and felt limited to what he could do as a side hustle because of his bank account and skillset.

Having no internet at the time, Brian looked at the newsstands and around the community to see what kind of service he could provide.

Did you know side hustling was called “moon lighting”?

Brian’s dad was a janitor at the local school and his side hustle was to clean litter. Brian remembered how easy it was too do that!

In 1981, unfortunately Brian’s father had passed and later that year, Brian started what his dad left him.

The first thing Brian did was call a few properties and send out free quotes. He got his first “yes”, and then got started! From there, it snowballed to a 6-figure business!

In non-pandemic, Sam is a professional therapeutic cuddler. Since COVID, Sam is a newly published author of, “Happy While Hermiting Handbook”. Sam is also an aspiring YouTuber.

She has been a professional cuddler for 5 years and before that was a construction engineer.

Sam is very passionate about making sure other women get into this kind of work properly.

How did you get into professional cuddling?

Complete accident! Sam was following Jason Zuck and she opened one of his emails. One of his ideas in the email mentioned professional snuggler and it immediately intrigued her.

Right away, she looked into an agency in her area that does it and she got her first few clients through the agency 2 weeks in.

What does professional cuddling play?

Through the agency, she made $40-$80/hour starting. Now, she can charge a lot more.

Currently Sam charges $100/hour on her own.

Who are your clients and how do you screen them?

Through the agency, they did not do a great job screening. Sam quickly had to learn how to screen people for what they want, where they are, and what there intentions were.

“They are not a client before you BOTH say ‘YES, I want to work with you’”

Learning Curve?

There definitely was a learning curve to professional cuddling. Lots of older men thought they used the term professional cuddling to disguise sex work, and she quickly learned to realize what words they use to understand if they are in it for the wrong reasons.

Learning how to say “NO” to certain clients.

What did you transition to when COVID hit?

As there are no more in-person events, especially with strangers, Sam decided she did not want to do the online work.

Ask yourself, “What is something that if you didn’t do, in 10 years you’d kick yourself for not doing?”

She answered “A book!”

While driving to her last cuddling session, she realized she needed to write a book… and that’s exactly what Sam set out to do.
