Jeremy has a few side hustles going, currently has a blog called “3 Hour Flip”, podcast called Pick the Brain and another called The Aworkening, which talks a lot about what we talk about here at Hobby Hustler!

Jeremy grew up with parents and grandparents who told him to go to school, get a degree, come out and get a job. Straight out of high school he started sharpening knives, the job paid $12/hour job, which was amazing at the time. His parents told him it was good, to stay there and work his way up.

He got introduced to Dave Ramsey, a financial guru and podcasters. He was talking about being intentional with your life and finances, don’t just deal with what happens to you as it happens to you.

He then found Dan Miller’s podcast, where he was talking about side hustle ideas. Dan’s podcast was the one that ignited Jeremy to start a few of his own side hustles.

Mike is focused on age proofing your career. He writes resumes, creates and optimizes linkedin profiles and helps people with their career strategies. This all started from his dad, who taught him to find a good company, give them your all, and you will climb the ranks and do well. It didn't go well for his dad, and that is where Mike knew he needed backup plans and back up plans for those back up plans.

High School Teacher by day and marketer at night! Vince helps businesses get in front of their audience with copywriting, and marketing. Vince went to school for marketing, figured out he didn’t like the “textbook” approach, and decided to go to teaching. After running a business, he realized the love he had for marketing and decided to go back into that as a Hobby Hustle. At this point, he doesn’t want to leave teaching because the flexibility and his passion, but the business is getting so big that he may need to leave the job for!

When did you realize you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Yes! But it wasn’t the typical, wake up one day and think “I want to be an entrepreneur”. Vince started his own business years ago wanting to solve problems.

Even before he started his own business, he was freelance writing in the sports industry, and then started a bow-tie fashion business.

Vince chose bow ties because in 5 years time, he thought it would be funny to look back if it actually worked, and if it didn’t, he would just laugh.

The main lesson he learned was how important content can help to explode your business

Most people who are Hobby Hustler’s are busy, and writing good content takes time! So Vince made a point that Hobby Hustler’s need to give extra attention to the way they prioritize their time.

Focusing on the content drove more leads for his bow-tie business and next thing he knew, he was appearing on the first page of Google for great search results!

Get points across in a very clear and concise way. Being an english teacher, Vince realized that his strength and passion was in writing, he double downed on that, and blew up the bow-tie business only to sell it!

Now, Vince is working with a partner on doing copywriting and ghostwriting for clients all over the world.

The idea behind Curie was seeded a long, long time ago. Frustrated by the lack of options, and after testing just about every all-natural deodorant on the market, I decided to do what any good Pinterest-crazed millennial would do - I made my own. I wanted something all-natural and free of harmful chemicals, parabens, and aluminum. But I didn’t want my pits to smell like eucalyptus and sage.
