Self-compassion is such an important thing to practice, yet a lot of us tend to focus on self-deprecation. We are able to be kind and gentle with the people around us, but look at ourselves in the mirror and spew hatred. In this episode, we are talking about how to practice self-compassion and what it means to be kind to ourselves. I also talk about Dr. Kristin Neff's three elements of self-compassion. So, if you feel like your negative self-talk wins you over, it's time to practice some of these exercises that I'm linking below. Thank you for listening, stay safe!

What is a quarter life crisis? Is it the same as mid life crisis? In short: No. This episode's topic is very important and dear to me because part of our development in young adulthood (18 to 30 years old) includes having feelings of self-doubt and identity crisis. It can be very beneficial to understand what might come up during these ages and the reason behind it. Thank you for listening, stay safe!

In this episode we are talking about a very important topic: when to start therapy. We have heard all the jokes, misconceptions, and false narratives surrounding mental health counseling, so it's time to talk about what it really means to go to therapy. If we want to protect our communities and people around us, we have to start normalizing and encouraging therapy (we all need it). Thank you for listening, stay safe!

We all have needs, and knowing what they are play a key role in our wellbeing. In this episode, I talk about identifying our needs using Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, which is an amazing theory about the different levels of needs we human beings are motivated by. Here are some links that are great at explaining this theory further.
