  • Episode 196: Hoes of History: Tallulah Bankhead

Sarah tells the very unique story of Tallulah Bankhead. Her life story is so different from the run-of-the-mill that there's been seven biographies about her. Tallulah was a stage actress in London and New York. She created a reputation for herself in both locations because of her over-the-top demeanor and sexual escapades. She had no guilt or shame about her sexual prowess, which surprising because she came from a politcal family. She's the definition of living your life out loud.

  • Episode 195: Hoes of History: Roberta Flack

Nicole digs into Roberta Flack's past and uncovers way more than expected. She was saying fuck y'all and doing her own thing since she was a kid. Despite being a black woman living in the south during times of segregation, she managed to go to Howard University at only 15-years-old and teach herself how to play the piano. She continued to go against the grain by marrying a white man and having a child with him. Then, after her divorce she ended up marrying a man much younger than her. She's been the epitome of standing up for what you believe in, women's rights, and love is love.
