It's Halloween Hustle time! We have to start this right and how more right can it be than to have PJ back by my side on the microphone, liquor in the cups and THE friendship fundamental, Grindhouse. PJ, Chris and I went to see this in theaters back in 2007 and since 2017 when we started HVH, we have referenced this film, told the story of going to see this film and showed it nothing but love. It took a long time to get here but it finally gets its own episode proper! We watched the full 3 hour plus experience and Chris watched the extended, split versions. It's been close to 20 years since we saw it in theaters, can it still be as fun and as hype as we remember it?

Our Patron Seth Blackwell has us dive back into the world of weird, art films and he even joins us to try and figure out just what the hell this even is. Chris and I have never seen it, Anita is out this week and we had to ask Seth on multiple occasions, "WHY?" Being from Ohio, this film did intrigue Chris and I but disappointed us both when we found out it wasn't actually filmed there! Thanks to Patreon, we all get to fill a hole in our pop culture knowledge as none of us have ever seen The Warriors. A movie with a rabid cult fanbase and loved by rappers all over, can it be any good in 2024? Thanks to our supporter Kevin Rodriguez, we get to go back in time and review a film that none of us have watched in a real long time. For the first time in a while, we all had wildly different thoughts about the movie and one of us may have some torches and pitchforks coming their way. We also discuss if we would go back in time if given the opportunity, how different this movie could've played out if Marty had been a Black Man going back to 1955, Chris has a quick review of the new Beetlejuice movie and Brent was on one this week for some reason and has beef with drivers of a certain car and rants about a certain bodily function. So, I have avoided this film for 22 years but because of Anita and Chris, I have to finally watch it. As a kid, I had no interest in the American Jackie Cham films (other than Rush Hour) and I didn't watch any of them. I expect the worst but i'm being open. It also helps that PJ is with us this week! In true HVH style, we break the movie down and discuss other things like, do clothes really make the man? What are some of the worst water brands? If PM Dawn had debuted in 2002, would they have had longer careers? Of course, there is a lot more and we appreciate you listening!

Alien was so good that Anita and Chris couldn't wait to watch the next movie! Even better is that Chris came out to visit us here in Cali, so all three of us are on the mic in person again, like old times. I was brimming with anticipation for them to see the first 10 minutes of this movie and if you know why, you know. Anita and I also went to see Alien: Romulus and give quick thoughts, we hip Anita to some old memes, Anita knows how to use her words and oh yeah, we watched the special edition of Alien 3. I get to show Chris his first Brandon Lee film and I get to re-analyze this movie after previously reviewing it on the Old Man Orange Podcast about five years ago! A buddy cop movie with decapitations, neck snaps, spin wheel death explosions, water hoses down the throat and weird lines from Brandon Lee for sure has to be a fun time right? The spirit of PJ lives on because like him, apparently Chris and Anita haven't seen anything either. This is a first time watch for them both and Chris had never even watched the original, so he gives his review of that film as well. This was a staple of my childhood, the same way the Harry Potter movies were staples of theirs, so let's see if they can come around to Aliens like I did for some of those movies! The patrons have spoken once again and this time, the homie Nick wanted us to watch the 1989 karate flick, "Best of the Best." Always saw this movie playing on HBO as a kid but never actually checked it out. Very curious to see just how much karate Eric Roberts is about to throw down with! Because of a bicycle scene in the film, we all discuss our trials of learning to ride a bike, I have questions about the Olympics, we learn a bit about zodiac signs and I made a lot of dirty jokes, as I am one to do.
