Oh yeah, Harry Potter is going away for a while because it's time for the Halloween Hustle baby and this is a film that i've wanted to get on the show for a long, long time! Sugar Hill is the fun story of a woman who gets revenge on a bunch of racist gangsters who killed her boyfriend by summoning Baron Samedi and killing them with voodoo magic! I was hype this week, I wont lie. There is some singing, we discuss the Men in Black movies, Nelly's first album, favorite gospel songs, the Breakin' soundtrack and I break out a new card game called "Lyrically Correct." It's year five at Hogwarts and man, I hope we keep the momentum up from last movie because I still have like three movies left after this! I heard good things though, so let me grab my wand, see what the sorting hat got to say about me and go practice my Avada Kedavra spell! Puppers, Doggos and satire, oh my! Yeah. this is one I was concerned about going in. Like Death to Smoochy, this is a film that I would skip past on TV all the time. Thanks to Izzy over at Everything I Learned from Movies, I have to finally sit down and watch this one too. Anita and Chris also have never seen this before so at least I wasn't alone. We're back at Hogwarts for year 4 and i'm hoping I can finally break the 6/10 trend that has been going on with these films! Unlike the last film, Anita and Chris seemingly have different views on the quality of this installment, so my interest is there but will the enjoyment be there? That is the question. We also have good hearty laughs at the terrible CGI of that baby from Twilight, we discuss our prom memories or really the lack thereof for some of us, Anita gives her review for Die Hard 2 and I have a conspiracy theory about some treachery that Harry Potter may have been on in this film...

For so many years I would see this DVD in the discount bins at video stores, I would see it come on after watching something on Comedy Central and turn the channel, now thanks to Brandy G, I can no longer escape Smoochy! I can't lie, I wasn't looking forward to this one so I hoped it would be a pleasant surprise. We also talked about Space Jam 2, Scooby Doo, the Cowboy Bebop Netlfix show, old kids shows and we were shocked about how seemingly progressive the main character is in this film. It's the third year over at Hogwarts and I hope it's a more eventful year than the last! Anita and Chris both think this is top tier with the Harry Potter movies but i'm gonna go into this level headed and with tempered expectations. It's Year 2 at Hogwarts and I haven't heard a lot of good about this Chamber of Secrets! I ended up being okay with the first, but will this be better than expected or just a filler year? Chris and Anita are here with me, and she made me some Butterbeer...Even though I don't know what that is yet! I also learn a new way to diss people in the phrase, "Mudblood." Oh and I found out what group I would belong to in Hogwarts and the type of wand I'd have and it's not even the class you thought!

Now that I finally watched all the Rocky and Creed movies, I wanted to start another series that I had missed out on, not many bigger that I could think of than, Harry Potter! I read the first two books as a kid but never watched any of the films. That changes today and not only is Anita a super fan of the series but Chris is back this week and he is also a big fan!
