Gun control advocates often site Australia's gun "ban" (which wasn't a ban - they didn't get rid of all guns, contrary to popular belief on the Left) as a model for the US to adopt to solve gun violence. But how effective has it been in Australia? And is the policy replicable in the US? My friend Derek and I discuss.

My wife and I watched the first Republican primary debate together (don't worry, we had drinks to get us through it). Elyse is not as politically obsessed as I am, so I thought her opinions of the candidates would be interesting to hear since she's more representative of average voters.

To save you from having to listen to a 3 hour episode, I've cut it down to the interesting bits. Due to the way we recorded it, sometimes we're referencing something someone said but don't have the clip of the candidate. So, my suggestion is to watch an overview of the debate from your favorite news source, and then you can listen to us yap about it.

Another day, another Trump indictment. And since my last discussion about previous indictments was with my friend Kelley, we thought we should just pick our conversation back up and talk about these new federal charges for this episode. She joins me on the show to talk about why he's her choice for 2024, but I have concerns. Is he "likable" enough for voters? Can he please enough of both former Trump supporters and the very anti-Trump factions of the Republican party to form a winning coalition? Will his fight with Disney help or hurt him?
