The Honey Badger Den with Bruce Evans

Bruce Evans and Joe Colosimo break down Proposition 404 and the proposed relocation of the gravel pit to Government Tank. They discuss why they support the move, including reduced truck traffic on public roads, the location of the proposed site, and the potential addition of 80 acres to Fain Park. They also respond to concerns raised by opponents of the proposition and explain why they believe some of those claims are misleading.

The conversation also turns to Proposition 492, which involves the potential annexation of approximately 650 acres near Lakeshore Drive. Bruce and Joe share why they support bringing the property under the Town of Prescott Valley’s jurisdiction. They discuss development, water management, housing, future business opportunities, and the long-term growth of the community.

Finally, the hosts dive into the changing landscape of local politics. They share their concerns about political action committees, public records requests, referenda, and past disputes involving their service on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Throughout the episode, Bruce and Joe make one thing clear: The Honey Badger Den is a place for candid opinions, spirited discussion, and conversations about the future of Prescott Valley.
