Prost! Don your lederhosen and grab a pint with Stephen & Gabe in a special Oktoberfest celebration! The iconic festival draws around 6,000,000 people to Munich annually at the end of September. Though in-person festivities are canceled this year, we can still mark the end of summer with classic, German beer styles. This week, the boys start off with a pair of authentic, Munich-brewed Oktoberfest lagers before sampling several American twists on the style. O'zapft is!

This week, we take a trip up to the Boston area to visit a young, homegrown brewery that’s doing everything right. Crue Brew Brewery has been family owned and operated since its inception in 2015. After more than two years of contract brewing, husband and wife Kevin & Tammy Merritt borrowed from the equity in their house to open a brick & mortar location. Incredibly, this makes them one of just two Black-owned breweries in the state of MA currently operating a physical brewhouse. Stephen & Gabe stop by for a taproom special including a flight delivered by Kevin himself!

Stephen & Gabe head back up to the Green Mountain State for a look at Upper Pass Brewing Company, a small operation founded by a pair of homebrewers in 2015. The company released their first beer in September of that year as part of the Tunbridge World’s Fair. They’ve established themselves as power players in the Vermont brew scene, having developed quite a following around their stellar juicy IPAs. The boys take a look at all that they have to offer with a well-rounded flight, including one rare beer style we’ve never had on the show before.

This week, Stephen & Gabe take a trip down the CT shoreline for a visit to 30 Mile Brewing Co. A lesser-known “hidden gem” of the CT beer scene, the microbrewery was founded by a pair of friends in 2015. They continue to operate on an intimate 5-barrel system with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, diversity of styles and, above all, drinkability.

This week, the boys head back to the great state of Massachusetts to profile a young brewery with a unique business model. Loophole Brewing was born out of a desire to lessen the financial strain and barrier to entry for New England’s upcoming craft brewers. Their three-pronged approach to business allows them to brew their own beers, offer an extensive contract brewing service and, (most excitingly,) uplift newcomers through their Aspiring Brewers Program.

Yep, you read that right. This week, the boys sample beers from Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery in Goochland, VA. While this episode may be a bit NSFW, the operation is so much more than a silly name. An award-winning farm brewery located on 290 pristine acres, Lickinghole Creek has been crafting small-batch concoctions for premium beer lovers since 2013. As stewards of sustainability, the farmers place a heavy focus on locally sourced ingredients and even go so far as to source and filter their own water on site.

White Lion Brewing Company started as an idea in 2011 when founder, Raymond L. Berry, thought of craft beer as an opportunity to establish a local product for the city of Springfield, MA. The operation officially began in 2012, quickly evolving to become a “catalyst for Springfield’s revitalization.” Almost 10 years later, the company is going strong and the passion for the brand is palpable amongst local beer lovers. (Spoiler alert: This might be one of the best IPAs we’ve had in a while!)

Stillwater Artisanal may not have a building, they may not have a home base, but they do have an extensive list of eccentric, creative and experimental beers that have garnered praise and accolades since 2010. Baltimore native Brian Strumke started Stillwater, pivoting away from a successful career as an internationally renowned DJ. Today, the operation still functions as a “gypsy brewery,” crafting ales all over the United States and around the world.

This week, Stephen & Gabe make their way up North to the great state of Vermont! (We can’t believe it took this long.) Lawson’s Finest Liquids was founded in 2008 by husband and wife, Sean and Karen Lawson. They quickly drew attention for their IPAs and maple beers, garnering awards and turning their 1bbl brewhouse into a 7bbl system. Today, their award-winning brews take center stage at a scenic brewery, taproom and retail location in Waitsfield, VT.

This week it’s time to embrace the road less traveled. We continue our Two Roads extravaganza at Area Two Experimental Brewing! The $15 million addition to the original brewery opened to the public in 2019 and has been described by CT Magazine as a “cathedral of craft beer.” Oak barrels, steel barrels, California wine barrels, massive foeders, natural sours spontaneously fermented in a coolship . . . the facility is basically a playground for head brewer Phil Markowski. We’ll stop in at the Stratford property for some beers on tap before heading back to the mics with something fruity, boozy and oh so delicious.
