The Horror Project Podcast

Welcome to the Horror Project Podcast. Join hosts Phil and Laura as they review Predator (1987).

This week we climb into the chopper and head for the jungle for some extreme testosterone-filled action. We join Arnold Schwarzenegger and possibly the least stealthy commando team of all time.

We chat about our memories of watching Predator on VHS. The team's explosive romp through the jungle. Laura also offers up her own jungle survival advice.

Plus we shall be finding a place on the leaderboard for the movie during our Ranking.

We hope you enjoy the show, thanks for listening!

We revisit Insidious for the first time since it’s 2010 release, but do those big scares still have an effect after all of this time?

We discuss the big bad - The Lipstick-Face Demon who has more than a passing resemblance to Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace character Darth Maul. We also compare Insidious to James Wan’s other film’s Saw and The Conjuring.

Welcome to the Horror Project Podcast. Join hosts Phil and Laura as they review Bride of Frankenstein (1935).

We tackle another classic universal monster movie and look at two of the most indelible character’s of all time, in the Monster and his Bride.

We discuss a film which is jam packed with arrogant ego-maniacs, with Henry Frankenstein, Doctor Septimus Pretorius and the Burgomaster all vying for the position of being top arsehole!

With one of the strangest moments in cinema with the introduction of Pretorius’ collection of small human beings, including his own pet mermaid?!?

We also chat about the themes of high school conformity and (literal) alienation. Not forgetting Josh Hartnett and that hairstyle, which has raised eyebrow’s for over two decades!

It's time to enjoy some pure 80s mall fun as we discuss the unusual after-work party arranged by the "teens" \ young adults in this movie, which quickly evolves into an orgy! The perfect place for a first date?!?!

And of course we chat about those devious Killbot's employed to protect the mall. Think Robocop combined with Jonny-5 but…EVIL!
