We bring in Anthony's mid-30s with a movie that makes everyone feel like a child. Sure, a  misunderstood gothy one but one nonetheless. We're revisiting Tim Burton in a very sentimental episode on EDWARD SCISSORHANDS!

ANTHONY'S BIRTHDAY MONTH HAS ARRIVED! We're kicking off our annual month long celebration of the fun, the gruesome, and the WEIRD that you know and love from our birthday mandated episodes with 1985's THE STUFF.

The team takes a DEEP dive into the 1980's and the rise of consumer culture, complete with the Reagan Revolution and how values/paranoia from the 50's made its way to the mainstream decades later. It's in this environment that legendary filmmaker Larry Cohen makes his rise, as well as horror in general, becoming something of a counter culture to American's branding of "traditional values."

Ghosts Vs Vampires month concludes with one of THE biggest movies of the 80s, and a staple in many a childhood household. Listen to Anthony butcher the iconic main tune in our look at Ivan Reitman's 1984 blockbuster horror comedy GHOSTBUSTERS!

When asked "Who you gonna call?" we decided to enlist last week's guests Wyatt Turner and James Brizuela to take a nostalgia trip through the wild production that got us the Stay puff Marshmallow Man. Nevermind the alternative casting choices for the main characters, expertly portrayed in the finished film by Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson! REMAKE VS OG HAS RETURNED! We kick off our vampires vs ghosts extravaganza with a nostalgic trip to the 80s, as well as the early 2010s as we're covering TWO movies this week, and they both share the same name: FRIGHT NIGHT (1985 vs 2011).

Chis Sarandon and Colin Farrell lead their respective movies, and we try to figure out which one is the most menacing. Also, how dumb IS Charlie (in 1985, cause Anton Yelchin is awesome). Learn how first time director Tom Holland impacted the childhood of many 80s folk, and how the remake fared in an era where people were getting sick of them. Ladies month concludes with a good old fashion revenge flick, except with a monster gang and a motorcycle fight. The team covers their first Nicolas Cage movie, who goes on a tear in Panos Cosmatos' MANDY.

We cover how the ambitious director turned his grief over family loss into a wild revenge flick, with a dominating performance by Nicolas Cage. We also cover Nicolas' Cage's roller coaster career, and how he found his way to such an experimental project. This is NOT a sober movie, but oh is it an experience. Now who wants some Cheddar Goblin mac & cheese?

Ladies month begins with a Carpenter/King combo that totally took the team by surprise, all to some killer 50's tunes. 

1983's CHRISTINE proves once again just why that year was an absolute banger (Thriller and Return of the Jedi.. in ONE year), telling the story of a murderous haunted car and a giant nerd. However, give this nerd some power and things get FUN. Alix and Anthony look at how King's hot streak and Carpenter's losing streak collided to create one of the most unique pictures in each of their filmographies.
