Episode 252 - CO-HOST - Ashley Smith from Social Jargn talks birthdays, social media and email marketing
You. Need. A. Social. Media. Presence.Industry authority, credibility, customer loyalty, new patients, continued growth, improved customer experiences, more accurate customer insight, better search engine rankings… and a lot of other “techy” and marketing components like brand recognition, website traffic, door swings, peer-to-peer reviews, etc. all translates into dollars and cents.

Episode 251 - Writing For Your Podcast - Blogs, Show Notes, Episode Titles, Articles - Can I Just Podcast, Do I Have To Write
By embracing podcasting, you can tap into a growing medium with less competition and a potentially more valuable audience.
However, it's important to approach podcasting with a strategic mindset, investing in quality equipment, developing a consistent content schedule, and promoting your podcast effectively across various platforms.
Remember, the key to success in any content creation endeavor is providing value to your audience and building a loyal following.
Whether through a podcast, a blog, or a combination of both, the goal should be to create compelling content that resonates with your target audience and helps you achieve your desired outcomes.

Set The Tone For Your Podcast With Great Music, Video and Images From Storyblocks
In my opinion, Storyblocks is a great platform for anyone looking for quality stock video, audio, and photo at a fraction of the regular cost. I use it for all of my projects and I have only good things to say about it. Its library, low price, and hassle-free license make Storyblocks worth it for me.
I would recommend Storyblocks to anyone who is looking for an affordable and high-quality source of stock media and who wants to decrease production time.
It is easy to use and I get unlimited downloads. No extra or hidden fees whatsoever.
It saves me a lot of time because I don't have to shoot footage myself. I can also create a video really quickly using the Maker video editor.
I get a lot of ideas for creating new videos just by browsing through the video library.
There is more than enough footage for all of my projects and new videos are constantly being added.
It's cheap compared to other stock services.
All the content is royalty-free, which means that I don't have to worry about licensing.

The Daily Dave - Podcasting Tips - Two Things Interview Podcasters are Doing That Frustrates New Guests - ReThink Your Strategy
Ok, so in a pre-interview of a guest for my Living The Next Chapter Podcast I met with a wonderful person that has had the worst experiences as a podcast guest. Podcasters, if you are doing the following two things with your guests, you need to stop - or - be more transparent as to your intentions and your process when dealing with guests - the way some podcasters are acting is making the rest of us look bad - so please stop!
So not bait and switch your potential guest - this person I mentioned was invited onto a podcast only for the podcaster to use this opportunity to try to sell their course, membership, mastermind etc. A Sales Funnel disguised as a podcast interview is classless, tacky and disturbing - don't muddy the water - please stop!
The second thing to stop doing is having two tier interactions with your guests - if you charge some of your guests and don't charge others, do not hold a guest's podcast release date for ransom and demand payment to bump them up the list so they can share their episode.
Whoever taught you to do these tactics has led you astray.
This kind woman was totally discouraged by your actions as an interview podcaster.
Thankfully, I was able to meet her on her last attempt at being on a podcast and I will make sure that she has a great episode, that she has me supporting her before, during and after the podcast and that I will continue to be there for her as a guest into the future.
A sales funnel is a sales funnel - a podcast interview is a podcast interview - please do not confuse the two!
Rant over!

Episode 247 - How to use Audacity To Podcast - A Guide for Podcasters Using this free recording tool
What gives you the Audacity to Podcast? Audacity! Audacity gives you a great free tool to record your audio first podcast. Forget the expense monthly digital workstations that charge you for tools that you will NEVER need - free is not a bad idea - I love free!
We discuss 7 things to leverage Audacity to Podcast better.
- Create a Master File for your podcast that includes all your elements to create your next episode - don't start with a black screen!
- Record yourself locally when doing over the internet interviews - that way you have an uncompressed audio file of your mic straight into your computer
- When recording with your guest, record locally on your computer in Audacity and minimize Audacity to show just the recording timer/clock - this will help you to not loose track of time
- Use Macro Manager to assemble repeatable tracks into a one click option - give yourself a break
- Use a standard File Naming Convention to organize your episodes
- Monitor your Recording level within Audacity - Green is good - Yellow is caution and Red is woah there, you're way too hot for podcasting!
- Set your export settings and metadata
