God as Homemaker

Today we welcome Arthur Brown of BMS World Mission. Arthur helps us explore the profound theme of “home” through the lens of faith, reflecting on everything from the realities of global displacement to the promise of God’s dwelling place among His people. We are challenged us to look through the “windows” of our communities to welcome our neighbours and hold onto the hope that God is making all things new.

Peter Stevenson begins by introducing two complementary sermon series for this term: ‘Windows on the Cross’, which will look at the death of Jesus from different perspectives, and ‘Glimpses of the Kingdom’, exploring the surprising stories found in Jesus’ parables.

In this opening message, Peter draws on Hebrews 9 to show that Christ’s final sacrifice is an expression of God’s prior, eternal love.
