We continue our coverage of the Covid-19 pandemic affecting North Texas. Curt Hazelbaker, CEO of the Metropolitan Dallas YMCA talks about how they have "pivoted" to repurpose their facilities to help the community during these challenging times.

Hazel Thomas is Director of Pastoral Care at Texas Health Resources. Hazel talks about the life of a chaplain, especially during challenging times. If anyone has a loved one in the hospital for any reason, chaplain services are available on request. This is a wonderful and encouraging interview that is more relevant now than ever.

Julia Cartwright, PhD, Pediatric Psychologist at Children's Health & UTSW, joins us in our last segment with tips on helping families encourage their kids to use screen time wisely, especially now that we are home and more prone to turning on those electronics.

Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, extended the "shelter at home" order to the entire state this week and Dallas County Judge, Clay Jenkins, approved the installation of 250 hospital beds in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center as the first of several such overflow facilities planned across the state.

DFWHC President & CEO, Steven Love, discusses this week's key developments and impacts, including a very important new study released this week from the University of Texas on city-by-city projections of the Covid-19 increase and possible peak expected over the next several weeks.

The DFW Metroplex went into "shelter at home" for many residents. In this show, Steven Love, President and CEO of the DFW Hospital Council explains some of the criteria that led to that decision. This is an inside-look at the critical factors contributed to asking North Texas residents to stay home for the next phase of the Covid-19 fight.

Only days after these decisions from the North Texas County Judges, the United States took the lead in total numbers of Covid-19 cases, emphasizing the importance of compliance with these restrictions, which are intended to "flatten the curve."

Steven and Thomas discuss the factors and implications in the first two segments.

In the second half of the show, we talk to Brett Lee, CEO of Texas Health Frisco, which has been specially designed from the ground-up to serve the needs of this young, professional, growing North Texas suburb. Brett talks about how Ritz Carlton was consulted to help instill their culture of "customer first" level of service across all aspects of the facility. The hospital opened in the fall of 2019 and is a joint-venture with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and School.
