He's pulled out of the tournament (as well as retiring from England ODIs) to balance his work load as the new Captain of England's test team. That is fair enough, but where does it leave the Northern Superchargers? Rich and Tom think it leaves the squad looking older and more patchy than most. Faf du Plessis had a great IPL 2022, but Dwayne Bravo, David Wiese and Wahab Riaz haven't been so hot. But form has dipped since he returned to the UK, and he'll be keen to take his team to glory in The Hundred.   

He's got some big hitters alongside too: Andre Russell, Phil Salt, Laurie Evans. But it's not clear what Rich thinks putting Wanindu Hasaranga in at #3 in the batting... they'll need his magic bowling to take the wickets!
