  • Player Interview: Chris Benjamin, Birmingham Phoenix

Chris Benjamin is one of the most amazing cricket stories to come out of The Hundred.  He has gone from university student to Warwickshire's second XI to Birmingham Phoenix in just a couple of months.   But he has grasped every opportunity. In his first match against London Spirit, he hit a match winning innings, was named Hero Of The Match and had Kevin Petersen drooling with his inventive shots.  Since then, the impressive Birmingham Phoenix have swept aside their competition and on Saturday 21 August 2021 Chris will play his first ever match at Lord's... in the final of The Hundred.  Rich and Tom ask Chris all about that journey, where it can take him next and whether he would rather face a fast ball from Marchant de Lange or Tymal Mills!

  • Round 7 review: Superchargers run riot and Phoenix Rising plus who needs to do what to qualify?

Tom and Rich chat about Round 7 of the action in The Hundred and explore where that leaves the tables as the teams enter the final round of the group stages.  It turns out to be really complicated, but it looks like 5-6 teams in both the women's and the men's competition still have a shot of the finals.

  • Player interview: Liz Russell, Northern Superchargers

Liz Russell was a late addition to The Hundred and the Northern Superchargers.  She has not waited to make an impact though, taking important wickets and bowling economically as the team look set to reach the eliminators on 20 Aug 21.  Between them stands the small matter of the regional grudge match against the Manchester Originals. Rich and Tom ask: who will win?  This is The Hundred Club, a fan community focussed on cricket's new tournament.

  • Player Interview: Kate Cross, Manchester Originals

England fast bowler, Manchester Originals captain, broadcaster and podcaster, Kate Cross has been one of the faces of The Hundred. • Coach interview: Simon Katich, Manchester Originals

Simon Katich played 56 tests for Australia, but is now a successful coach having led the Perth Scorchers to the Big Bash title. He is currently head coach of the Manchester Originals. Oli caught up with him the day after the Originals defeat to the Spirit to talk about The Hundred so far, the big games to come and if Simon has ever faced an Alex Hales moment of his own.

  • Game Week Six Round-up: One win for Spirit, two Hales balls and a hat-trick for Tahir

Tom and Oli discuss the action from round 6 of The Hundred... until Rich then joins in the fun.  It's a slightly chaotic update, with the focus turning from the disappointments of rain to the action in the tournament tables.  Shafali Verma seems to be hitting form at just the right time for Birmingham Phoenix, but will the loss of the red-hot Moeen Ali hurt their men's prospects?   Did Shane Warne's London Spirit leave it too late to try their young talent?   And who had the more embarrassing injury: Alex Hales or Eoin Morgan?

  • Player Interview: Lauren Bell, Southern Brave

Lauren Bell has been a breakout star of The Hundred cricket tournament so far.  With the scalps of Nat Sciver, Jemimah Rodrigues and Hayley Matthews already claimed, Lauren's ability to take the big wickets has been crucial to the success of table topping Southern Brave women.  Rich chats with Lauren about success, technique and England prospects.

  • Player Interview: Georgia Hennessy, Welsh Fire

Welsh Fire women are a team on the up, with two wins from the last two. Right in the middle of that success has been all-rounder Georgia Hennessy.  Georgia joins Tom and Rich for a chat about the squad just ahead of their big game against Trent Rockets.   Has there been a change of approach after two losses early in the tournament? How do you make the most of squad stars such as Sarah Taylor and Hayley Matthews? And will there be some fireworks when they meet the big characters like Katherine Brunt?  This is The Hundred Club, a fan community focussed on cricket's new tournament. • Game Week Five Round-up; The Hundred cricket hots up with Moeen, Wahab Riaz and Tammy

Tom and Rich discuss the action from round 5 of The Hundred as the tournament approaches its final stages.  The women's competition continues to produce high quality matches and a few surprises, with stars like Tammy Beaumont, Nat Sciver and Jemimah Rodrigues continuing to shine.  On the men's side, the London Spirit remain winless (much to Rich's frustration) but the other seven teams remain in the hunt for a place in the top three. Wahab Riaz justifies his late arrival with a scintillating display of white ball bowling and the batting of Birmingham Phoenix looks fearsome with Moeen Ali getting sterling support from youngsters Chris Benjamin and Will Smeed.  There is just enough time to talk about the England versus India test match too...
