Nick Green from MUCC (Michigan United Conservation Club) joins me to talk policy, advocacy, the possible expansion of Fort Grayling and what we can and should be doing. And of course updates on our dogs!!!

It's been a few years since Todd was on the show. I always learn a few new tricks when I talk with him. We talk about everything from when to start training, to when to stop, (the answer is never!) Molding a pup early is a key factor. The proof comes in the hunting season.

James and Luke Jubran started Smile Outdoors. it is a series of books aimed towards kids reading about the wild world we love. Lets be honest ( I helped raise three kidos) getting kids into the outdoors can be at a minimum, complicated. So how about reading to to them, and teaching them the alphabet, using books written and designed by hunters. It's like imprinting a love of the natural world to them without a backpack or car seat!
