With this year coming to an end it's the perfect time to think about what you want to achieve creatively next year. If you find you're just not making time to be creative or would just like a group of likeminded people to help cheer you on it's worth thinking about joining Creative Challenge or two next year.

If you had suggested a couple of years ago that I took part in a creative challenge I would have said no way. I didn't believe that I would be able to consistently create, but that's all changed and I can see just how useful and fun they are.

The guest today is Mark Glazebrook, an inventor and creative person based in Melbourne, Australia. After inventing and commercializing a dog toy to keep his dog entertained, his daughter asked him why only men were inventors. With a background in social work and social enterprise, he could see a link between his inventions and product development that he could share with girls in schools. Mark wants to encourage girls to believe in their ideas, so he set up a program in schools in Australia to teach girls how to innovate and commercialize their ideas.
