Paul willfully chooses to take the more difficult path in his walk with the LORD. He will go to Jerusalem and face great opposition and it will put his life in danger. 

Waiting on the Lord may be the hardest thing to do. David has gone through massive hardship but he knows the way forward is to wait on help from the Lord. 

In Acts 20 we get a glimpse of Paul's view of pastoral leadership for the church. 

As Paul brings his time in Ephesus to a close, the Spirit is calling him to Jerusalem - where he knows imprisonment and punishment await. But before he begins the trip back, he has one more charge to give the elders of the Ephesian church.

Paul teaches the Christians in Troas and brings a young man back to life.

David is contemplating the frailty of life and our sin. And then he breaks out into confession and experiences God's mercy. 

The gospel changes things in Ephesus. 

We come to a story from Paul's 3rd missionary journey that's, well, quite humorous. But we can't miss the most important part of the story - the power of the name of Jesus.
