Luke records Jesus' parable of the Unfaithful Servant. Being faithful with what we are given while we wait for Jesus' return is central to many of the Christ's messages. 

Jesus goes to the house of the chief tax collector Zaccheus. Zaccheus's faithful response challenges our categories of who is redeemable and who is not. 

The resurrection is central to the Christian faith. So if there is no resurrection, then there is no Christianity. Maybe we don't struggle with believing in the resurrection but, more often than not, we probably struggle with living in the light of the resurrection.

This is a great combination of scriptures that show us Christ's authority in calling the dead to rise and bring all humans into either the resurrection of life or the resurrection of judgment. 

Jesus teaches in Matthew 6 about anxiety and worry and how we should seek His kingdom first. In Luke 10 Martha is anxious and concerned about many things while Mary has prioritized discipleship in Christ. 

David in this Psalm focuses on the righteousness of God in his judgments and how God is our refuge. 

In this passage, Paul points out that we should pray for all people, especially our leaders. He also teaches young Timothy that God desires ALL to be saved. 

God wants everyone to come to repentance, but do we?
