God grants the four Hebrew boys in Exile wisdom beyond their peers. Daniel will serve in the Babylonian court into old age and he will do so without compromising his faith. 

Psalm 22 gives a prophecy of the crucifixion of Jesus 1000 years before it occurred 

The four Hebrew boys have been sent into Babylonian captivity. Intense pressure has been applied to them to change. Their identity has been stripped. The Babylonians are attempting to indoctrinate them and the King wants them to depend on him for their sustenance. God will see them through as they stand strong for their faith. 

Isaiah prophecies of a new day when God will bring about His new creation. God will draw all nations to His holy mountain and he will punish the evildoer. 

Isaiah informs his readers who the "Arm of the Lord" is: the Suffering Servant.

Isaiah predicts a day of comfort is coming for God's people. In Isaiah 40 we see the prophecy of the coming of John the Baptist to prepare the way for the Lord and the gospel being proclaimed from Zion. 

David has been granted the prayer of Psalm 20 and is exulting in the Lord. 

Paul encourages the church at Colossae with the fact that Jesus is completely sufficient in all things. Christ completely saves. We do not need to add other elements to our faith in Christ to bring us closer to God. Jesus and his perfect work of redemption on the cross brings complete salvation to us. 

Paul encourages the Colossian church to stay rooted in their faith in Jesus. They are in jeopardy because of a vain philosophy but he reminds them of what they have in Jesus. 

Paul writes a beautiful poem/hymn regarding the deity of Christ, is involvement in creation, and Lordship over our lives through the reconciliation that occurred on the cross.
