Pattabhi Jois and the Ashtanga method since 1995. In 2002 Pattabhi Jois authorized Matthew to teach the method of Ashtanga yoga and at Ashtanga Michigan we offer the program in the same spirit it is offered in Mysore, India today. In this interview Matthew and I discuss some differences between westernized, modern yoga and the tradition he comes from, some tips for how to pick a yoga instructor.
