In this episode I touch on a hot topic question - “what do I say when they asked about expectations of salary?” It comes as a surprise to some. I discuss what I typically use in response, and what I have done when starting a new job.
Agree? Disagree? Perfect! We would love to hear from you.

We discuss how workload management and anticipation of needs plays a key role in the successful engineering workplace. Workload management cannot be perfect in the engineering world. There are always multiple competing deadlines and surprises out of left field on a constant basis.
If you do nothing about it, and just continue week to week with blinders on, hopping from one project to the next, you will ultimately fail. You have to put up the good fight week in and week out. It’s a constant battle that will never go away, ever. Get used to it.
In this episode, we share some key insights into how the planning process and anticipation of workload activities can help to achieve balance in this ever shifting and rotating target of resource allocation.

Our first, kinda crappy, kinda great episode where we explain a little about why we started this project, and where we think it will lead. Our mission is to bring awareness and accessibility to the world of engineering for aspiring and early career engineers. We start with nothing but a podcast and an idea, and humbly move toward the future and chase that vision. We welcome anyone interested in engineering as a career and anyone that wants to grow along side us and create an unstoppable community of engineers together.
