You don’t have to have your life figured out, come as you are. Jesus loves and forgives anyone who will humbly come to Him, even the unlovable and the outcasts.

If you want to follow Jesus, it means giving up a lot of stuff. Jesus said it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven. Pastor Bill explains you can't follow Jesus and hold on to your idols in his message today. Icons in your life might be wealth, comfort, your job, or even your family. Is there something in your life that is holding you back from entering the kingdom of heaven? To follow Jesus means giving up everything else.

How are you following Jesus? Are you living life on your own, throwing up a prayer when things get difficult? Are you holding onto earthly possessions and succeeding, proud you are doing all the work independently? As Pastor Bill shares in today's message, those examples are not what it looks like to follow Jesus. You can't hold on to your stuff and follow Jesus. Jesus asks that you give it all up, sell all your property, then follow him. Stop making following Jesus so tricky. Just follow his commandments and live for Him, not yourself.

Scripture tells us “children will inherit the kingdom of God” and that we should have a child-like faith. What is it about being a child that gets you into heaven? It's then that you can except Him and all that He has to offer in its full glory. Today Pastor Bill challenges you to remember what it's like to be a child. He reminds you of the absolute trust you'd place in your parents and encourages you to reinvent and place that trust in Jesus. Do this and Christ will move mountains through you.

If you can get yourself to a point of child like faith you'll find that you can be used by God for incredible things. Today Pastor Bill teaches you of the young rich man who asked Jesus how to get to Heaven. He asked thinking that Jesus would supply an answer that He could then abide by but instead found an answer to heavy for Him to bear. He was told that He must give up everything and follow Christ. The young man walked away knowing that His money had become His God. What or who sits as your God?

Don't make the mistake of thinking that you're better than anyone. Remember that every person is a child of God. They are all loved equally by Him. Today Pastor Bill reminds you that even the people that you consider your enemies are loved by Jesus. Knowing this you should be able to place your issues with them aside and to find in yourself a desire to show grace to them. Never become like the pharisees who tried so hard to show off their superiority. Instead remain humble and kind.
