We all know what it’s like to fall short of someone’s expectations; they were anticipating more from you and you came up short. Pastor Bill talks to us today about how we all fall short. Many people believe that Jesus was a great teacher who had good morals and a compassionate heart, but nothing more. Christianity isn’t going to church every Sunday or abstaining from certain things, it’s having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If He wasn’t the son of God, then He was a liar and what good are His morals then? Don’t be so prideful that you can’t admit when you’re wrong.

Under the old covenant, Jerusalem had over six hundred commandments! Yet there was not one person who could keep them all. That’s why we so desperately need Jesus, our savior.

People often try to take what they like from the bible and leave the rest, as though it’s not relevant. They want the good parts to be true and the tough parts to be gone. It inspires people, comforts others and to some, it’s just maddening. Some people struggle with commitment more than anything else; they might be happy for a while but then they get restless.
