Christ asks you to be obedient to your masters, including your boss at work. Pastor Bill says being obedient may mean staying late and working overtime, working harder than others or having a better attitude than your co-workers. He says “quit gripping and grumbling! If you think it’s always going to be fun, you are sadly mistaken. Ask the Lord to fill you up. If you are wondering why He has you in this job, it is because He has a plan for you.” You may not be able to see it. You must trust in His plan.

Coming to Jesus will give you the wildest ride of your life. It will be like a roller coaster. God has a reason for every up and down, every turn that happens in your life! Through it all, the Lord is with you, just as he was with Joseph. Joseph was thrown in a pit by his brothers whom he loved. He was sold into slavery in a country where he didn’t speak the language. He was probably very afraid, but he had to trust God. Pastor Bill says, “God knew what He was doing. He will never leave you or forsake you!”

The choices you make each day can be far-reaching. Judah gave in to temptation but even in his sinful act, God was able to redeem it. Sin is not without ramifications, but through Judah’s bloodline, God ushered in eternal redemption through Jesus Christ. If you keep hitting a brick wall with areas of sin in your life, be encouraged that Jesus can tear down that barrier.
