Food, money, entertainment and so much more. These things can become idols that you worship instead of focusing on your mission given to you by God.

Today, Pastor Bill will remind you that Jesus is both the author and finisher of your faith. God gave His one and only son Jesus to finish your faith... It's by this grace and mercy that you can be saved. Pastor Bill will also remind you that the Lord left people on this Earth to run a race... God left you to run your race. God didn't leave you here so that you could run some else's race. You aren't equipped to run anyone else's race but your own. God finished your faith... But it is up to you to run your race with endurance.

Today, Pastor Bill will remind you that you don't wrestle with the things that you think you do. You don't fight against things that are in this world... But things of another, evil world... Pastor Bill will also remind you that all of God's promises are true. Any promise that God made to biblical figures came true! And just like for them, the promises made to you will come true! It's easy to think in our modern, immediate culture, that God has forgotten about His promises... But the Lord operates on His timeline... Not yours.

Today, Pastor Bill will warn you how harmful comparison can be. Comparison is the enemy of growth and progress... When you are busy looking at someone's life and compare your accomplishments and progress with their's... They won't ever match up, your progress will always seem small. Now, you might be wondering... Why does my progress seem small in comparison? Everyone is in their own stage of life, every choice and accomplishment that they make is based around their situation.

In today's message, Pastor Bill will remind you that pessimism leads to fatalism. Some people, regardless of their age, have aged. They have aged too far for their age in maturity. Maybe that looks like a 40 year old who sees death as a destination. This kind of person has no hope and little energy to do much of anything... Especially the work of the Lord. No amount of prayer, bible reading or serving in your church will buy you a one way ticket to heaven. All Christians are saved by faith and faith alone. Not to earn your way into heaven but to give God back the glory for all He has done in your life!
