There's a time for war, a time for peace, and a time for worship. Pastor Bill teaches you today the need to know what season you are in. It's best for you to be a person of compassion. It's compassion that led Jesus to the cross so that He might save you from your sins and it's your compassion for others that may lead them to know the Lord. Pastor Bill encourages you today to be a person of compassion. He challenges you to look at the people around you and to find ways that you can help lessen the burdens that they hold. Ask Jesus to place in you the empathy that He has for us all. Allow Him to inspire you to be a person that can help change others lives.

Sometimes it may be difficult for you to be compassionate for others. Perhaps you warned them of the consequences that were to come and they didn't listen, or maybe you got them out of troubles time and again just for them to fall right back in. Pastor Bill reminds you today that no matter what circumstances may have led you to your lack of empathy it's important to remember that Jesus always retains empathy for all. As such, being that you are called to be like Him, you must fight to retain compassion always.

Though Abraham was a superior to his nephew Lot and had every right to angrily approach him with authoritative power he chose to gently converse with Lot so that he may see Abrahams heartfelt concern. Pastor Bill challenges you today to remember this approach and to use it in the frustrating interactions in your life. Whether it be something like trying to behave your child, or perhaps approaching a stranger who has wronged you, remember that you represent Jesus and His Kingdom. When it's required, engage in conflict gently.

Every action that you take in life needs to be affirmed if not inspired by God. Today Pastor Bill challenges you to be in tune with God's Will for your life. He warns you against doing things without first asking for Gods opinion and helps you understand the need to know Gods stance on things. As you live your life each day make a conscious effort to seek Holy guidance. Know Jesus's character through prayer and biblical studies and use that understanding as foot stones for your path in life.

Gods promise to you is unconditional. He'll come through in the end no matter how badly you stray from the path He set before you. Pastor Bill teaches you today that Abram went against God's Will and messed everything up. Knowing that it wasn't in line with what God had promised him He moved his family to Egypt. There things got out of hand but God managed to redeem it for good. In the end God fulfilled His promise to Abram, but Abrams disobedience cause him much difficulty and turmoil.

Despite Gods promise to Abram he left for Egypt. His land was in famine and he failed to believe that God could feed him in that desolate place. Today Pastor Bill asks if you're taking matters into your own hands when you should be placing them in Gods. Are you faithfully stepping out onto the limb that God has led you to or are you hesitating to even go up the tree? As a result of Abram going to Egypt many troubles arose in his life. Unnecessary drama occurred. This will be true for you as well if you force your own path.

Some try to sell the lie that Christianity equates to a life without disappointments. To believe this requires zero acknowledgement of the most fundamental Bible stories. Pastor Bill teaches you today that as a Christian you can expect hard times just as everyone else does. The difference is you'll have Jesus on your side and His great Kingdom awaiting you. You'll have everlasting hope! Don't expect Jesus to take your struggles away, but instead know that He's there to help you through them and make you stronger.

It's difficult to place God as the true authority of your life. Pastor Bill reminds you today that the opinions of family, friends, and culture are to remain second to God. Only by strengthening your relationship with Jesus and through committing to the understanding of His Word can you accomplish this.
