“What is Truth?” That’s the question Pontius Pilate asked Jesus. And that’s the question that’s still being asked over and over today. Is “Science” the only source of truth? Can we arrive at truth through psychology or sociology? Today, Pastor Bill reminds us that God’s Word is THE source of truth. Not just truth about how to live successfully, but also about how to know God, and how to live in the Way He designed for you. The more you read and study His Word, the more Truth you will know!

As a kid, did you ever get caught with your hand in the cookie jar? If you did, then you know that it wasn’t going to do you any good to deny it. Once you were caught, it was too late. The more you tried to deny it or to stick to your guns, the worse off it was. Resisting the Spirit will never go well for you, but if you confess your sins, God will forgive you and cleanse of them.

Are you known by others as a person of reputable character? Some people think they can get anything they want for the right price. That doesn’t always mean money, but it could be by doing favors or just by exercising their charisma. Whatever it is they’re seeking to gain, all they’ve got to do is just pull a few strings. In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches you that God’s favor cannot be bought. You can’t talk your way into, buy your way into, or even work your way into favor with God. God’s salvation is a gift of grace freely given and it can only be received in humility.

Have you ever tried to get through an obstacle course? You know, the kind with rope swings over mud pits, piles of tires to work your way over, and rock walls to scale… The only way to make it through to the end of the course is to overcome all of the obstacles. In his message today, Pastor Bill teaches you that you need Jesus to overcome your greatest obstacles in life. You can try all you want to do it on your own, but without Him, you’ll end up in the mud and never make it to the end of the course.

“Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love.” Those are lyrics from the Old Hymn, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. Those words describe the human tendency that we all face to wander away from God, even though He has been so gracious to us. In today’s message, Pastor Bill warns you about the dangers of drifting away from God. Although God is sovereign over all and has the power to keep you, it’s your responsibility to walk with Him and not wander from Him.

Is it bad to be narrow-minded? Christians are often accused of this. Sometimes we push back against this claim, but as Pastor Bill will point out in today’s message, it’s not something we need to deny. By nature, our faith is narrow-minded and dogmatic. To be a Christian, we must believe that Jesus is the only way to be saved. When you believe that strongly, it’s imperative that you share that message with everyone you know because Jesus loves everyone and wants them to come to Him.

When you choose to do the good works and walk in righteousness that God calls you into, it’s still completely by His grace that you can live out your faith and honor Him. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, it is your responsibility to make that choice, but beyond that internal decision, the rest is all up to God. If you lean into His will and allow Him to empower and equip you, you can be a willing part of His beautiful work of expanding His Kingdom in this world and bringing hearts to Him.
