Ever heard the phrase, "You say you want to be like Jesus, but do you really mean it?" Looking like Jesus means we have to be submissive to the governing authorities where we live. Today, it might look like just following posted signs on your car ride. Pastor Bill reminds us there is nothing easy about submission. It takes a lot of mental, emotional, and even physical energy exerted to surrender to something or someone that we don't fully trust. Yet, isn't it amazing that we have a God that knows it all and whom we can lean upon?

Movies do a great job of depicting post-apocalyptic words. Could you imagine a world without rules, laws, or even courtesy? Everyone would do what they wanted without consequence. Today we might not understand or approve of how our nation's leaders are handling situations, but are we thankful for the things we do have because of an established government? Pastor Bill begins a challenging lesson in trusting God in the government that ultimately has been ordained by Him – submitting to authority.

Do we just gloss over the fact that Jesus's most significant moments during this time on Earth happened with the people that society wanted nothing to do with and detested? The tax collectors, the sick, the exiled, the broken, and the desperate. How about a self-check to evaluate: do you reflect the same ministry? Pastor Bill says it best, "being beautiful like Jesus is trippin'! You just have to look at people differently." Today, could you step out of your comfort and shine the love of Jesus?

Our lives as Christians are much better when we stop thinking that it's all about a "get out of jail" card. Sure, we're safe from the fire, but there are still so many that Jesus is calling us to save! Our lives should speak loudly of our love for Jesus. Once we are transformed in Christ then it's time to be conformed into being a devoted Christian, or roughly translated – "little Christ". Pastor Bill encourages us today to keep our minds renewed in Christ. In so, we stay daily in step with God's will for our lives.

What do you spend most of your time thinking about? Is it your job, your family, your money, or yourself? In today's message, Pastor Bill teaches us that God wants us to not think too highly of ourselves, but instead embrace humbleness. What we spend our time thinking about shows us the condition of our hearts. What is the condition of your heart? Jesus went to the unwanted people to bring them hope. Let’s follow Jesus’ example and think more about others than we do ourselves.

Do you know how to get to Heaven? If you could just do enough good, you can get there. Really? Is that so? Today, Pastor Bill declares that we can never do enough good to get into Heaven. Access to Heaven comes by simply stepping through The Door. The Door to Heaven is Jesus. He already did the work required to get us into Heaven. God requires no additional work from us. All we need to do is surrender to Jesus. Instead of struggling, let's accept Jesus as our redeemer, as The Door into Heaven.

Did you step into the ark? Noah’s Ark was a place of safety. Are you safe from the coming danger? Today, Pastor Bill teaches us that Jesus is our ark of safety. We are only safe when we spiritually step into the ark. Some folks know a lot about Jesus or know a lot about the Bible but have still not received the gift of Jesus' redemption. They have not stepped into the ark. Jesus protects us when we surrender to Him. Only then are we safe? Let's not simply admire Jesus, but let’s place ourselves in His protective care.

Do you think you are going to Heaven when you die? Why will they let you in? Are you good enough to get there on your own? In today's message, Pastor Bill reminds us that Jesus is the only perfect man. He is the only man that gets into Heaven on His own merit. Our merits will never get us into Heaven. One little sin is enough to keep us out. We don't have what it takes. Jesus, the perfect man, offers His plan of salvation, which is our only way to get into Heaven. Let's make sure that we have been saved by Jesus’ blood.

There are many things that can be seen in a believer’s life that sets them apart from the world. One of those is joy. Unlike happiness, which is based on circumstances, joy can be had and even shines brighter when the circumstances are bad. Do you rely on the joy that can be found in hope, or do you let circumstances throw you around like a tiny boat in rough seas? In today’s message, Pastor Bill will teach you how to be transformed into a believer that draws others to Christ.

Can you think of a time when a stranger went out of their way to show you, love? When was the last time you went out of your way to help a stranger? Being the real deal means loving others, no matter the cost. God’s word says that the way that you love others should make you like a sweet aroma. Does your presence bring about a sweet aroma of love or a stench of selfishness? In today’s message, Pastor Bill will teach you that hospitality, which means loving strangers, should be a trait of every believer.
