The Implanted Word Podcast

Are you living in the joy that Jesus made a way for you to have? The world often gets joy and happiness confused. Happiness is a temporary feeling based on circumstances, but joy is a deeply rooted state of being that cannot be uprooted by circumstances. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will teach you that Jesus’s death and resurrection have made a way for you to have everlasting joy in all seasons of life. Keep listening to learn how to take hold of the joy that God has for you right here, right now.

Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection were God’s way of being undeniably clear that He loves us. God is a God of truth, not confusion. One thing that He is clear on in scripture is that your sorrows WILL be turned to joy. That’s a big promise to keep, but after all, if He can defeat death, I think that we can take him at his word. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show you that YOU can have lasting joy in all circumstances. Keep listening to learn how to discover the joy that God wants you to live with.

In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show you that it’s through the power of the Holy Spirit that you’re able to see the glory of God. In order to love someone, you have to know them. Pastor Bill uses the example of how his love for his wife has grown over their many years together. The more that he sees his wife's character, the more he falls in love with her. Do you love God? Or is that a hard concept to imagine? Ask the Holy Spirit today to show you the glory of God so that you can truly love him.

Are you open to the moving of the Holy Spirit in your life? What does that mean? Well, if you’re a believer, God has given you HIS spirit to live in you and make you more like Jesus. The spirit empowers you to do things that you can’t do on your own. He also tells you to do things at the moment, like pray with someone or share the Gospel with them. Have you experienced this before? In today’s message, Pastor Bill will show you that you don’t want to ignore the moving of the Holy Spirit.

Did you know that scripture is dead without the power of the Holy Spirit? If you’re a believer today, do you ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate God’s word as you read it? In today’s message, Pastor Bill talks about the difference between information and illumination. Information alone doesn’t have the power to change your heart, but the Holy Spirit can take information, illuminate it, and make it take hold of your heart and your life. Keep listening to learn about your new best friend and teacher, the Holy Spirit.

When the disciples received the Holy Spirit, they were given the power and boldness to preach the Gospel and minister to others with authority. As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he’ll be exhorting you to step out of your comfort zone preach the Gospel, and make disciples. God didn’t keep you alive on Earth after saving you just so you can spend time living for yourself. He wants to work in you and work through you by the power of the Holy Spirit to reach the lost.

It’s not always easy living for the Lord, especially in the extremely ungodly cultural climate going on these days. Being a child of God comes with the most amazing benefits, but unfortunately being persecuted comes with the territory as well. Today, Pastor Bill will be reminding you that it’s perfectly normal for you to feel like an alien here on Earth because your citizenship is in Heaven! When you feel like you don’t fit in, it’s because you don’t anymore, and you’ve been called to a higher purpose.

If you want to live a godly life, you will be persecuted. This is a promise in the Bible, maybe not the most quoted and warm promise, but a promise nonetheless. This is because the world, the flesh, and the devil hate God and constantly try to sway you to live for yourself. As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he’ll be encouraging you to remain bold for the Lord and not allow the demonic forces of this age to discourage you from living a victorious Christian life.

As a Christian, you’ve been commanded to obey the Great Commission, to preach the Gospel, and to make disciples. One of the biggest hesitations for believers when it comes to preaching the Gospel and ministering to others is their fear of man and being rejected. In Western society, if this is the worst thing that can happen to you, consider yourself blessed. There are many extremely hostile countries towards Christianity, and the persecution is more severe than here. Be bold, and obey God.

As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he’ll be explaining how love is the main fruit of the Holy Spirit that gets produced in your life when you abide in Jesus. Jesus is the Vine and you are the branches, apart from Him you can do nothing. It takes a supernatural power to have unconditional love and to love your enemies. The purpose is to spend a quantity amount of time and also a quality amount of time reading the Word and spending time communing with the Lord.
