Have you ever spent so much time working towards an achievement that when you finally got there it was hard to believe? Maybe graduating from school or getting a license of some sort... You put in some much work and then... that's it! You're done! You got it! That diploma or license. In today's message, Pastor Bill teaches us that when Christ saves us, that whether we feel like it or not, we are, justified.. and we are, glorified. In Jesus, the work in us has already been finished.

Have you ever received a gift that just completely blew you away? Sure, maybe it was your birthday or Christmas, and you weren't surprised to get a gift, but when you opened that one.... and you saw what it was... You were just completely floored!!! Like wow! – Pastor bill reminds us in today's message, that as Christians, we have received from God the greatest gift of all... Life, through His son Jesus Christ. Do you remember playing sports as a kid, having to line up and then waiting to get picked? “Pick me! Pick me!” - Maybe you are worried about getting picked last? Or not getting picked at all. - In today's Message, Pastor Bill reminds those of us that are saved, that we have been Chosen by God. Before the world was created, He knew us, and He chose us. Why did He choose us? Why would He? Because He loves us. What did He choose us for? He has chosen you and I, to be made into the image, of Jesus.

In today’s message, Pastor Bill will outline some of the worst things he’s experienced. All of us have our own stories to share. It’s not a competition, but maybe you’ve had much worse. Maybe you’re in the middle of it right now. When God says “all things work together for good”, you may laugh and assume you’re the exception to that promise. You’re not. You may not see it for decades – maybe not even in your lifetime – but God will absolutely work everything for good if you love Him and abide in Him.

Most of us wouldn’t survey our lives and say that everything is good. There’s likely something – it may be big or it may be small – but there’s something that could be better. Maybe things feel downright awful right now. So what gives? Doesn’t God say He’ll work all things for good for those who love Him? …Just hold on with faith and patience. As Pastor Bill will remind us in today’s message, God is not withholding – He will come through. Even if it’s just in heavenly rewards – He won’t let you down.

The work of God in our hearts and world transcends our comprehension. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, God knows what we need and what we need to ask for before we do… so why do we need to ask for it? If He already knows, why doesn’t He just do it? God wants you to be involved. He wants you to choose to be a part of His mission. When you pray, you’re not trying to get God’s heart to align with yours – prayer is an opportunity for you to align your heart with God’s.

Following Christ requires humility. To come to Him for salvation, you must admit your weakness and inability to overcome sin or live a righteous life. You must acknowledge that you’re sinful and that your sin leads to destruction – both in the here and now, as well as in eternity. Even once you’ve come to Him, you continue to need help. As Pastor Bill will encourage us in today’s message, God thought of that already, and that’s why He sent His Holy Spirit to help you face the trials and temptations of life.

Most likely you can think of a few people in your life that you know need help. Maybe they have “a few screws loose” as they say… Or maybe they have bad luck, always falling on their face and struggling to get back up. You likely wouldn’t lump yourself in with them, but the truth is, you need help too. As Pastor Bill will remind us in today’s message, all of us need help. God knows that, and He won’t leave us helpless. He sent His Holy Spirit to meet our needs and help us live lives that glorify Him.
