As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the book of John, he'll be challenging you to live a resurrected life. When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live within you and brings abundant life and power. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives inside you! Sin no longer has dominion over you, and you now have the power to say no to sin. Purpose to walk in the newness of life that's been given to you, now that you're filled with the Holy Spirit.

Your actions and behavior will always prove what you actually believe. Today, Pastor Bill will be explaining how having genuine faith always equates to a change in behavior towards godliness. You can say you believe Jesus is the Messiah, but have you truly made Him Lord over your life? The Bible is clear that faith without works is dead. Your good deeds don't earn you salvation, but your good works will always naturally come forth from sincere faith in the Lord.

Jesus had a way of always speaking the truth, with authority, even if offended people. As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he'll be explaining how Jesus wasn't seeker sensitive, watering down the truth. The Lord in His great love for you, tells you the truth about the world, and about your spiritual condition. God loves you too much to allow you to stay the same. The Holy Spirit speaks truth to you and convicts you of your sin, so you can be molded more in the image of Jesus.

Jesus made extreme claims about His identity, so much so that the religious leaders believed He was blasphemous. Today, Pastor Bill will be explaining how Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, God in the flesh, not simply a good teacher or a prophet. Jesus declared: “Before Abraham came to be, I AM”. This statement was a declaration of Jesus' divinity. Jesus fulfilled every Old Testament prophecy regarding His life, and He's continuing to fill prophecies within the New Testament.

As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he'll be explaining how if you desire to live a godly life, you'll suffer persecution. The world hated Jesus, and since you're a follower of the Lord, the world will naturally hate you too. If you're receiving zero push-back from the world, then there's a chance the world doesn't recognize you as a follower of Jesus. You should consider it a joy to be persecuted for being a Christian. It simply means you're being a proper representative of the Lord.

Jesus is not of this world, and as His follower, you also should not be of this world. The world system runs contrary to the ways of God. Today, Pastor Bill will be reminding you that you're simply a pilgrim passing through this world and that your citizenship is in Heaven. Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord, and focus on the eternal over the temporal. When you seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, all those other temporal necessities will be met. Don't allow yourself to be entangled with the affairs of this world.
