You may not be one to willingly go see horror films, but what you don’t realize is that you have your own nightmare replaying in your mind. You’re thinking back, being haunted by all the wrong or bad things you’ve done in the past. It’s pinning you down, and you’re held captive, like a prisoner. Today, Pastor Bill expresses that you don’t need to be trapped by the ghosts in your mind about your sin and your past. You can move forward with a clear conscience, fleeing from those things in your mind.

You might think, “Once I get past the hurdles, everything will be ok.” But then your legs are cramping on that last stretch of the race, and you’re not sure if you’re going to make it to the finish line. When you’re about to head out on the water, you want to be on something that’s water-proof; that won’t cause you to sink. The last thing you need is something that absorbs all the water and sends you straight to the bottom of the ocean. Did you realize that God’s offered you a way to be water-proof, and not sink to the bottom and drown? We’re talking about a spiritual water-proofing, and Pastor Bill explains how this works today, relating it to how Noah was saved and rescued from the world’s judgment.

Pigs like to be dirty. You could clean them and get them smelling good, but they’ll go right back to the mud and fill their faces with slop. So think of your life and your sin is like a pig, drawn to the mud. Pastor Bill is saying today that you can be rescued from the mud, and you don’t have to keep going back to it. You can become clean and have a new way of thinking and living, free from the sin that wants to drag you through the mud. Instead, make choices that allow you to be clean from the mess!

The word “sin” could be an acronym for “selfishness is near.” Left to yourself, there’s nothing that’s going to stop you from doing what you want to do when you want to do it! Your flesh is weak, and you’ll fall prey to its desires. Today, Pastor Bill talks about the battle that goes on within you between doing what God and His Spirit have for you, versus the natural default of your flesh and sin nature. It’s an ongoing battle that you have to work to fight against, and you must remember that you need God’s help!

Many girls dream of the perfect dress, the perfect wedding, and the perfect husband. It’s something girls imagine from the time they’re young. Most guys don’t think about their wedding day much before when it’s happening. Well in today’s teaching, Pastor Bill talks about how Jesus is the perfect husband. He’s the ultimate of what a girl might dream of in a perfect guy. But this Groom is different than a human husband. He'll be much more fulfilling and loving than anything you could dream up.

A mirror can be pretty unforgiving. It shows all the wrinkles and imperfections you wouldn’t mind forgetting about. Well today, Pastor Bill helps you see that the law in the Old Testament is like looking in a mirror, convicting you of the areas that you, in your sinful nature, fall short of. But the law isn’t where it ends. In a wonderful turn of events, Jesus died and replaced the law, so that you can be a new person, free of those imperfections and blemishes. It’s a relief and provides you with a new reflection.

At a wedding, it’s only natural to gaze at the bride walking toward her groom, looking radiant, happy, and peaceful. But of late, some desire to turn their heads toward the groom, and look at his reaction to the bride coming toward him. It’s a beautiful picture of something even bigger than the wedding in front of you. Today, Pastor Bill clues you into the fact that weddings here on earth are merely a glimpse of the perfect union to come - between Jesus, the Groom, and His stunning bride, the church.
