In this episode of the Thoughty Auti Podcast, Thomas talks to Lorraine Young about her involvement in 'Chewigem' an organisation that offers chewable accessories and fidgety toys to satisfy your child's sensory needs. 

Lorraine heads the social media side of the company as a Brand Manager, and puts a strong emphasis on forming a supportive and helpful community for parents and autistic individuals. Her teenage son Jamie was diagnosed on the autistic spectrum and she has a wealth of interesting stories/insights as a parent, but also as a member of the 'autism club' herself. 

We talk about her diagnosis, what Chewigem offers, how she got involved, why sensory needs are important to recognise, and the importance of accommodating sensory difficulties in public and private spaces.
