The Inconsolables

Apple and Google are creating monopolies. But in swoops Epic to save the day, and also make itself some fat stacks presumably. This whole Epic V Apple (and Google) stuff is wild. Is Apple a monopoly? Should Epic take them down a peg? Or maybe this is all a kaiju genital measuring contest? Are us regular humans going to somehow just get screwed over? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s a heavy news day today. In the past week a myriad of individuals across gaming content creation, games development, games media, and all other manner of geek culture have admitted to or been accused of sexual misconduct and assault. It is a disgusting reality, and we have to talk about this problem.

Adding to our dumb dumb podcast is one half of the highly intellectual game design podcast Platforms and Pitfalls. We have Rowan on board to tell us all about a bunch of quirky off-beat indie news stories.

IGN did a thing, Escapist did a thing, PC Gaming did a thing, GUerilla Collective did a thing. You should totally check those out yourself, but we’ve got a little cheese tasting platter of games to talk about from all forms of indie showcase! ^_^
