  • Episode 4 | "Who Am I?"

    Who are you?

You, with all your strengths and weaknesses, your quirks and foibles, your perfect imperfections are like Kintsugi

Translated as “golden joinery, it is the ancient Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery.

Dating back to the 15th century, and represents the spirit of the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi - seeing the beauty in the “flawed” or “imperfect”.

You may wonder how could something be flawed yet be considered beautiful?

    What is perfect (perfection)?

    What is beauty?

Perfection - a concept - so does not exist in nature, in reality, naturally.  Perfection is an unattainable ideal.

Whereas Beauty, is everywhere - where you are, who you are, what you are, in spite of it all.

Hopefully this episode fully convinces you of the fact that you are beautiful.

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.

    ~ Confucius

  • Episode 3 | Honesty Pt. II

Today we will continue our discussion about honesty and focus on how to operationalize the principle of honesty.

In addition to considering the previous questions, we will focus on how to live honestly……. to eliminate from our experience thoughts, words, and deeds that are without merit, those that are incompatible with your true nature and entertain only those thoughts that are based on an unimpeachable foundation.

    ·       “Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”

  • Episode 2 | Honesty
honesty: ……early 14c., "splendor, honor; elegance," later "honorable position; propriety of behavior, good manners; virginity, chastity" (late 14c.), from Old French oneste, honesté "respectability, decency, honorable action" (12c., Modern French uses the variant honnêteté, as if from Latin *honestitatem), from Latin honestatem (nominative honestas) "honor received from others; reputation, character;" figuratively "uprightness, probity, integrity, virtue," from honestus (see honest). Meaning "moral purity, uprightness, virtue, justness" is from c. 1400; in English, the word originally had more to do with honor than honest.

Today we will focus on personal honesty, i.e. self- honesty, because once honesty is mastered in your relationship with yourself, it influences all aspects of your interactions with others and makes life less complex.

This a a principle I want you to embrace intellectually, as well as deep into the essence of your being. I want this to be a guiding principle that exudes from every pore, so that when difficult emotions and troubling circumstances occur, any decision that is made will be influenced by it.

Where honesty is paramount, there are no viable internal debates to be had, even when the cons outweigh the pros….
