  • Rantin Review Episode 8: WWE Social Media Crackdown, NJPW, TWD Season 10 Finale
As of this week, Rassslin Rantin is now in the history books. The old channel's YouTube presence is gone, but that only means new things are on the horizon. I'll discuss what that means and where the video side of my wrestling reviews will be going forward.
In addition, we look at WWE's strange tactic of requiring its performers to turn over their social media accounts like TikTok and Twitch to the company. The money acquired from those accounts will no longer supplement the performer's revenue, it'll be lumped in with the base pay they already get.The G1 Climax 30 continues in New Japan but given the current circumstances I will not be reviewing this week's shows. I will be picking it up again before the finals."The Walking Dead should have ended X years ago". That's often what you'll hear from most people when mentioning the show (most of whom haven't watched it in years). However, as someone who only started watching TWD in 2017, it's not "old" to me yet, and Sunday's Season 10 Sorta-Finale was highly impressive in the creep factor and an awesome death of a main villain. Why do I still watch it? I'll talk about this in this edition of the Rantin' Review as well.

  • Rantin Review Episode 6: NJPW's G1 Climax 30 Begins, False Ricochet Rumors, and AEW Ratings Success
It's that time of the year again, although a bit later than usual. New Japan Pro-Wrestling's G1 Climax 30 kicked off this past week with two great nights of action. The promotion is about at 75% of what it was before COVID-19 shut them down. Now, with half capacity crowds and many of the foreign stars like Juice Robinson, Jay White, and Will Ospreay returning to Japan, this year's G1 looks like it will be a full tournament despite some minor issues.Ricochet has been the latest victim of the internet wrestling rumor mill. Have we reached a point now where the assumptions made about WWE and its stars has reached a breaking point? After reaching over 1 million viewers for AEW Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling's success is undeniable. What will this mean in the future for TV deals with TNT and also future negotiations for WWE as their deals are coming up in the next couple of years?
