Darren was a little way into a catch up call with his friend and surfing all star Roby D'amico, they where talking all things surfing so Darren hit the record button and this is the result.

Known as Italy's greatest surfing export, other than Leo, Roby is a high level surfer who does incredible things for surfing in Italy as well as taking on big challenges and even take part in productions with the likes of STAB too.

Episode 78 - Exclusive - The Officially Unofficial Review Of The Quiksilver Festival

From the sand, Matt & Darren review this year's best surf comp as it happened in front of our very eyes. 

The very first Quiksilver festival saw French royalty Jeremy Flores invite one of the best line ups, to come and feast on the world class beach breaks found here in South West France. 

World renowned surfers like Noa Deane, Mikey Wright, Clay Marco, Mason Ho, Al Cleland Jnr, Keal Walsh, Coco Ho, Sierra Kerr, Josh Kerr, Shane & Jackson Dorian, Laura Enever, Dimity Stoyle, Sam Piter, Jeremy himself, Michel Bourrez, Marc Lacomare, Kauli Vaast, Maud Le Car, CJ Hobgood, Joan Duru, Aritz Aranburu, Vasco Ribeiro, Vahine Fierro, Balaram Stack and Adriano De Souza, all in town and all ready to go big.

This didn't feel like a comp, surfers paddling out side by side laughing, calling each other into waves and celebrating with each other when they scored solid waves, this was a comp where the surfers were put first, and when the surfers win, we all win. 

Jeremy gave us everything, a competition with airs, barrels, combos and even a twin fin day too! Blending free surfers and free surfing with a format that shows off surfing at its best. 

Please return next year and WSL take note, these are the waves the world tour need.

Episode 77 - The Return Of LOB. Liam O'Brien Joins Us Again

Once again we have had the fortune of sitting down and speaking with Liam. We wanted to get hi back on to discuss his first full year on the WSL after his initial rookie year was ruined.

Without knowing, we arranged to speak with LOB and then he released his amazing new edit, Wandering, so we got to chat competitions and all things WSL & free surfing and how his edit came about.

Episode 76 - J Bay Was Too Big This Year So Its Been Cut!

Rumours are swirling as to why the WSL have cut J Bay, arguably the best stop on tour. Whether the reason is money, the Olympics or our theory, that the waves where too big compared to all others this year. Maybe the South African jewel made the rest of the 
waves look even worse... who knows, but we are not happy with this latest move.

Adding Cloudbreak is a silver lining but these waves should both be on tour, not replacing one with the other. 

This isn't even touching on the finals day going back to Pip's back yard!

Its not all gloom and doom, thanks to Mr Liam O'Brien, his latest edit, named Wandering is extraordinary. Easily some of the best surfing and editing to drop in recent times. In LOB we trust. This is a must watch for everyone.

Episode 75 - Picking The Bones Out Of The Ripcurl WSL Finals Day, An Insiders Review. 

Is it fair? Is it right? Is it the best wave? Is it truthful? Probably not but it was undeniably fun and gripping.

No one saw Ethan going that well with his injury, it felt like a lot of people almost forgot how good Filipe is. Caroline stepped up when no other did and ripped too!

The judges where on point all day so the result was left without question, the commentary on the other hand, SHITHOUSE is an understatement for all of the team bar Pete Mel and weirdly Cote wasn't to bad. Kaipo and others, its better left unsaid.
