WOW Episode 100
Thank you to all of you that have listened to and supported the podcast! We reached 100 episodes.
I am honored to have my friend Justin Hamilton back for episode 100 after his record-breaking performance at the Mid-State Mile. I also thought it would be great to have the guest that has the most downloads...yep that's Justin as well. If you haven't listened to Ep:64 check it out. It really sets this one up.
In this episode, we pick where episode 64 left off, where Justin calls his shot to come and win the Mid-State Mile. We discuss the races he ran leading up to Mid-State including his completion of the Fierce Dragon 200!
We discuss the lessons from his training that we all can apply to our lives. Like sticky thinking and how to push ourselves beyond our physical and mental abilities.
We breakdown his amazing performance at Mid-State and how he fought through several lows early in the race. How he wasn't rattled. Our preparation creates our separation. Justin's preparation separated him from others.

In this episode, I highlight my experience at Mid-State Mile in Franklin, TN this past Father's Day weekend.
It was an incredible environment of individuals coming together to serve one mission, to help each other go as far as they can go with others' support. I distance they could not come close to on their own.
Mid-State Mile event is a 1.1 mile figure eight that has 340ft of elevation gain and loss. It's simple, you have 20 min to complete the loop. If you do, you're still in it. It goes until there is only one left running the last loop on their own.
This creates such a beautiful combination of competition and love for our fellow man/woman that you just want to see them push beyond their own mental and physical limits.
I share what I saw over the course of the weekend and how we can/should apply this to our lives in facing storms that come our way.

My guest Marcus Torgerson is a man who doesn’t fit in a specific box. Walking his path, trusting the process. Marcus knows a thing or two about facing storms...He had to learn at a young age how to survive in this world. From an alcoholic mother who always reminded him of the botched abortion to being molested. He has had to fight his way through life.
We discuss how this chaotic upbringing helped develop his skills to become "a nightmare for bad guys." With the craziness in the world today, I see a need for us to be skilled in de-escalation, self-protection and evasion. Marcus and I also discuss how even a non-violent person has a level of violence in them. Just ask a mother whose children are in harm's way.
We also move the conversation to a few things we all can relate to. This was my favorite part of this conversation with Marcus. So stick around to the end to not miss out.
Marcus knows what he's talking about! He is a specialist in hand-to-hand defensive tactics. He has over 40 years of martial arts experience. If there is a need to educate and empower a civilian in the quickest easiest way possible then Marcus is your man. His speciality is his ability to assess and choose the appropriate empowering & educational plan of action to get a student to mentally and physically be a nightmare for bad guys in a short amount of time. Marcus Is a reflective old man that deeply believes in “ being kind to dumb animals “ thanks to his 2 decades of working security in nightclubs. However, The one thing that Marcus is overly sensitive and empathetic about is people with special needs and physical and mental handicaps.
Marcus was also featured in the book by retired Navy SEAL, Clint Emerson: 100 Deadly Skills https://amzn.to/3n5NEYk

How do we live undaunted in facing the storms of life?
My guest Chelsea and I speak the same language...We speak Buffalo! We've chosen to be undaunted by the storms we face. Undaunted: Not discouraged or disheartened; resolutely courageous. This requires practice however it is possible for you!
Has it always been that way? Nope but in this conversation, we uncover how some storms we just have to decide we are done and move forward with new intentions. Deciding to transition to the future without carrying the past trigging thoughts and/or emotions forward into the future.
This and much more in this episode of The Inspired Way.
Chelsea Olson, born and raised in Southern Utah with the red cliffs of Zion National Park just in my backyard! I married my sweetheart in 2011 when we met in my last year of school at Utah State University. I taught 5 years of school before I quit when I had my first baby girl. I now have three girls at home with me! Every day is always a party full of laughter, tears, screams, tantrums and so many hugs and kisses. I also run my own coaching and apparel business. My goal is to help as many women as I can to love themselves, and face their own daily storms in this life!

Life is not about just hanging on and hoping to survive. It's more about how well we show and keep pressing forward.
In this episode, my guest Mike Bellini and I discuss how marriage is like an ultra-marathon. He shares from his latest book Ultra Marriage how he found four stages of his marriage that have helped him go the ultra distance in his marriage and how it can help you.
For over twenty-five years, Mike has been guided by an enthusiastic desire to live out the ultimate marriage. He has been supporting families through church ministries for over two decades. He has led marriage and parenting workshops and classes. He has mentored middle and high school boys for over a decade by creating and directing small group programs. He is a multi-dimensional thinker, experience screenwriter, endurance athlete, and family man.

In this episode, I share something that I have been thinking a lot about lately and that is refocusing my attention to stop doing the good things in my life so I can fully focus on the great things.
A lot of times we can get busy with all the good opportunities and now we are left with just doing too much!
I am making the hard decision to stop doing all the good and work on being great in one area. I have sacrificed this podcast and the calling I believe is on my life for many good things.
I read from a devotional that my wife uses for it will reference her and women throughout but guys tune in, lean in and listen to the heart of this message.
Thank you all for tuning in each week!
