The Jared Lowery Trio performs one of Jared's original compositions....Jared Lowery on guitar, Kangwa Mundende on bass, and Willie Peterson on drums.
These very talented comedians from OKC get together and talk about how they got started in comedy, what it's like to go up on stage for the first time, how to read audiences and adapt their material and approach, what it's like to perform in front of different kinds of audiences and at different kind of venues, what formative lessons that they have learned about comedy and about life, how writing material and performing has changes their lives, how they have used their life journeys and their struggles to create authentic material that their audiences can connect with in a deep way.
Jeff would also like to offer very heartfelt appreciation to Lenny Vanhorn for organizing this panel and to everyone for participating in a really fun night going behind the scenes in the lives of comedians.
The Jared Lowery Trio is: Jared Lowery on guitar, Kangwa Mundende on bass, and Willie Peterson on drums.
This evening, the Trio performs their FIRST LIVE PUBLIC PERFORMANCE and opens with couple of tunes and then sits down for a very compelling conversation and shares the story about how they met and have come together. Kangwa and Willie also speak about what their experiences have been like while performing Jared's original compositions and how it has informed their approach to the music.
Jared Lowery is a true musical innovator and is creating some incredibly artistic and conscious music that is deeply moving, contemplative, and cosmic all at the same time. It feels like a portal to a different dimension and takes you beyond space and time itself. What he does with the guitar goes beyond definition and is something that just simply has to be heard and experienced.
The conversation continues as Jeff,Jared, Kangwa, and Willie take a deep dive into jazz-rock fusion since it's genesis in the late 60's/early 70's and explores some of the early pioneers and how this particular style of music has influenced so many different genres of music over the decades since that time. Jared also shares some background about his particular guitar style and who have been his most important influences over the years.
