Retirement is considered to be one of the monumental milestones in an individual’s life. Once one decides to make their exit from the workforce, the question naturally turns to how they will be able to continue to afford their living expenses. While investments, pensions, and 401k plans are viable options, one of the most popular forms of fixed retirement income lies in the shape of the Social Security program. In the year 2019 alone, over 48 million retired Americans received Social Security Benefits. However, projections from the Social Security Administration illustrate that benefits will only be able to be paid in full until the year 2035.
