The Interleague

With the end of July every year I celebrate two things. The day I stepped into the world for the first time, and the MLB Trade Deadline. This year the trade deadline was celebrated a day early, but it was a great start to a birthday weekend. Chris and I talk all things trade deadline for the Cardinals and Yankees. We dive deep into the home stretch for fantasy as well, man its a nail biter. As usual, this week we give opinions on all the things no one asked us about. Thanks for killing a little of your spare time listening to us ramble.

Your boys are back with another episode. This week we discuss what we would and wouldnt like to see from our teams with the lingering trade deadline. Time is certainly the enemy for 2021 for both camps, and it will take something special to see either compete for the division. STL is likely to have a hard time fighting for a playoff spot in general, but NYY firmly has the #2 WC in their sights. Fantasy heads into the home stretch as we begin circuit 2 vs our division teams, and we also give some love to the Olympics. Baseball has been frustrating as of late, but what a great time to be a sports fan. USA! USA! USA!

The ASG is behind us, and with a little more than 2 months left on the schedule - the time is now for our boys to make a push. Join us as we discuss the ASG a bit, what our teams were up to prior to the break, and how they have fared since action started up over the weekend. The Interleaguers also face off this week in Fantasy (and it has been pretty one-sided as expected). The break was nice, but its time to get after it. Hope you enjoy, and forget to share your thoughts with us @theinterleague on the Twitters.

Your boys here at the Interleague tried something new this week. Join us as we enjoy the entertainment that is the HR Derby (we apologize in advance if the volume is a little screwy). We chat through some of our thoughts on the participants, share our rooting interests, talk a little Yankees and Cardinals shop, and add a dash of how the All Star celebrations could be better. We planned to do this as a two part episode this week along with the ASG itself, but werent able to make that happen. As always thanks for spending part of your week with us.

We have passed the halfway point for games played, and the all star break is right around the corner. With that said, it seems like a few days off could serve our teams well. The bullpen is having its struggles in NY, the Cardinals continue their way of losing to sub .500 teams, plus a few other team specific topics. We also dive in to more of our thoughts on the Foreign Substance situation in baseball, and what we think it means for the future. The season seems dire for our boys, but maybe this team off will help us rejuvenate our hopes as well. Lets get after it fellas, and as always thanks for wasting some time with us.

As we near the half way point of the regular season, and watch the calendar change to July, the Interleague brings you all things Yankees and Cardinals. As consistent as fireworks to celebrate our country, our teams like to make us question our ability to continue to be a fan. The week resulted in almost rock bottom for the Cardinals,  and Yankees fans endured another sweep to the Red Sox. We talk All Star voting, sticky substances, and potential trade partners. Thanks for stopping by, help us will a turn around into existence.... PLLLEEAAASSEEEEE

Another week has come and gone, but your favorite interleague podcast is still going strong. Mixed feelings about a solid week from the Cardinals in terms of results, and the Yankees finally find a way to win games late. Fantasy brought us each good news again (feel free to call it a winning streak). We also dig more into the issue of organizational depth, or the lack their of. A little ASG chat, power ranking updates, and some stage work for next week where we plan to dive into this whole foreign substance issue head first. As always thanks for spending part of your week with us. We love you, dont fight it.

I cant tell you how tired I am of reflecting on what needs to happen to hope things get better for our teams. So instead tonight, we talked about other stuff (we did chat about our clubs a little beat). The primary focus was All Star talk, Bubba Harkins and the impending shit show produced by the MLB, MLB/CBS Power Rankings, and a decent amount of fantasy (spoiler: our teams both won so it was more enjoyable to discuss). Let us know your thoughts on all things baseball - @theinterleague on the Twitters. Look forward to some more chatter about this latest scandal, and Olympic baseball in the near future... USA! USA! USA!

Well baseball was rough for me again this week. Yankees struggled again against division rivals. Cardinals continue to struggle dropping 6 of 7. Fantasy even ended in a tie for me (at least Chris won). Another rant session breaking down that we basically dont know what needs to happen to turn things around. We talk Power Rankings, along with overall team out look. Plus we tease two topics for next week, USA Baseball and the new steroids of baseball. I apologize in advance for being such a downer this week, but for the love of baseball can my boys please turn it around this week. Appreciate you wasting a bit of your week with us.

Alright, I'll admit I probably celebrated a bit too hard last week. Reality set in, more injuries for the Yankees, the losses piled up on the field too. The Cardinals scratched together a winning week, but it wasnt anything to write home about. Fantasy didnt treat us much better. This was a week, a week of downs it seems. Here's to brighter futures, please dont let my sour mood ruin your week.
