Online extremism can be quite bizarre sometimes. Take a trip back to the halcyon days 2012 to check out a weird white nationalist video and see what it tells us about both that era's far right and the far right of today.

Hey guys,
Took a long time but I finally found some energy to upload an episode I finished a long time ago (pre covid!). I got pretty depressed and didnt really have the energy to listen to and edit this one last time. However, now that I have a little more time on my hands, I wanted to actually finish this.
Due to its age, some of the references may be a bit outdated and it may not always make the most sense but its something that I've been meaning to put out for a while. If you enjoy (or loathe), feel free to let me know by dropping me a message at [email protected]

From the outside, Deep Fried Memes are an ugly, corrupted mess. When you learn more about them, your initial judgement doesn't change.
Still, they do reflect the internet's love of irony, consumerism, and ironic consumerism, which is an interesting topic in itself.

This is a quick introduction to the project, including my reasons for making it and what why I think its interesting. I also fail at explaining Roland Barthes's "Mythologies" and attempt to apply some of its ideas to that horrible image macro "Bad Luck Brian".
