With the multiple crises to tackle Michael and Noah focus on something that has been often ignored or not addressed, but that is the world's global supply chains. The first involves the Johnson and Johnson vaccine with a supplier that has yet to be approved put in the wrong pushes back the time where Johnson and Johnson can manufacture the doses needed. The next is we move on the Suez Crisis with the Ever Given ship blocking one of the busiest trade routes in the world. We talk about how this can affect prices and cause another shortage of essential products such as toilet paper ("shuddering from 2020 flashback"). Lastly, going back to the US, we visit the little town of Bessemer, Alabama, and the efforts that many amazon employees are undertaking to unionize versus a company notorious for its single-minded hatred of unions.

This week, we continue to reflect on the past year's biggest stories and how our environment has changed dramatically. This week we mark the anniversary of Breonna Taylor's murder. We look back on some of the specific changes that have happened due to the murder of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd. Then we moved on to another topic of hate as a gunman targeted multiple massage parlors and mainly shot Asian women. This senseless violence sparked attention towards a troubling trend in the rise of hate crimes and precisely that of hate crimes and incidents involving people off of Asian descent.

In this episode, we discuss the continued progress the World is having against the COVID-19 virus as we experienced a year of the virus's devastating path through the US. Next, we go across the globe as multiple world leaders fine their names and reputation across headlines. The US officially declassifies its reports on the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and the direct implication that the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman had ordered the hit. However, the Biden administration refuses to take significant actions against the Saudi Government. Then across the pond, Nicolas Sarkozy was convicted over corruption charges. Then in our last segments, we talked about tech and media companies' horrible or confusing business decisions. AT&T divest from DirecTV taking a loss to the tune of 30 billion dollars. Then there is a judge confusing decision to compel Steam to reveal its sales data to Apple in its ongoing case Epic Games. Last we discuss yet another streaming service or at least a rebrand of one.
