Sophia Xiao-fan Austrins is an architect, a community organizer, and facilitator. Sophia is also an autoimmune condition patient. The condition Sophia has is Sjogren's syndrome, an autoimmune condition that attacks one's muscles, nerves, and ability to process water. 90% of Sjogren's patients are women. In this tender, raw, ultimately hopeful conversation, Sophia shares her experience with a condition that will likely affect her for a long time, the state of women's health in the U.S., and how she stays hopeful.
