After a busy couple of weeks chasing the dream of pro golf, I caught up with Max as he reflects on DP world tour Q-School. 

We discussed the journey through the stages, what Max has lined up for the coming weeks & months and the choices he now has to make.

After gaining full status on the challenge tour next year will this be his new base, is the possibility of staying amateur for one more year to play walker cup a realistic option ?

He will head to the LIV promotion event in December and will also tee it up on the European tour before this year is up.

In this episode, I talk with Hugh as he reflects on his season as well as some of the highlights of a stellar amateur career. He will tee it up this week for the last time as an amateur golfer, It's onto the grind of pro life next.

This has been a goal for many years and a challenge he is looking forward to facing head on, taken the learnings of travelling the globe and an understanding of the work it takes will give him a good base to start.

Nick grow up in Ireland and his passion for golf is a family affair, His love of the game has taken him to the worlds best courses

 In 2020 Nick would face his biggest challenge when he was diagnosed with two forms of leukemia “And the blood cancer kind of mutated. And everything happened very, very quickly. It was kind of a case of literally going into the hospital for some blood tests and a few other tests.” “and by the end of that day, there was doctors kind of rushing around me. Everyone was in a bit of a panic. I could tell something had changed or something.”


“They kind of gave me at that point, like a 50, 50 chance of still being here in a year. And I said, look, a lot of things will need to line up for that to happen.”

“The hardest, the hardest time was post-transplant. Horrendous like it. Just I felt like I couldn't do anything.”


“Tomorrow is going to be better than today. And even if I had a horrendous day, I would say that to myself. And look, thankfully, I kind of got through that awful period.”

After making a decision to get back on the greens for more competitive action last year, Emma has show great signs both individually and in team formats. The bug is back and she’s excited for what’s to come. 


We discussed the choice to return the results this season finding a balance that works in a busy life on and off the course and where it all began.

as one chapter closes its time for a new story.

let's give it a go for a year, This was the conversation Brian had late last year, He had played the odd championship over the last couple of seasons but what could he do if he went all in before it was to late? He didn't want to look back and think what if. A hard winters work in the gym and on the putting greens kicked off an outstanding summers golf, With more to go. I caught up with Eimear McManus to chat about the successful return of the KPMG women's Irish open, the role she and Forefront sports played in this.

The event is going from strength to strength showcasing the worlds best and also giving some of the countries top amateurs and chance to play alongside the pro's.

this year its been held in Carton house between the 29th of august to the 1st of September tickets are on sale and a great day out awaits.
