This episode was speaking with Chad, a young, Black male therapist to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly within the Black community as well as other issues that have arisen since that time. Representation matters and for many within that community, mental health is still a taboo subject that many shy away from so this interview was largely in service to normalize that conversation and discuss concerns around traumatization, police brutality, men's issues with seeking out therapy, and general hesitancy to address one's own issues.
Important Note: No advice, guidance, or any part of this discussion would be considered therapy and is only for the purposes of engaging in a much needed dialogue regarding mental health. If you are interested in seeking out services, please begin that journey as soon as possible so that your healing can begin by a qualified and licensed professional.
