Your feed has probably been crammed with the latest on how the world is responding to this novel coronavirus, named coronavirus disease 2019 (abbreviated COVID-19). As of March 26, 2020, there were 68,440 total confirmed cases and 994 deaths in the U.S. alone. In addition, we are facing record unemployment numbers. Last week 3.3 million people filed for unemployment, up from 281,000 the previous week. This is the highest ever reported, beating the previous record of 695,000 in October 1982.
Tim Doescher of the Heritage Foundation joined Jacob Kersey to respond to the United States’ response to COVID-19. Tim Doescher is the associate director of coalition relations at the Heritage Foundation and co-host of the podcast, Heritage Explains.
