Zwarte Piet (pronounced [ˈzʋɑrtə ˈpit]; English: Black Pete or Black Peter, Luxembourgish: Schwaarze Péiter, Indonesian: Pit Hitam, West Frisian: Swarte Pyt) is the companion of Saint Nicholas (Dutch: Sinterklaas, Luxembourgish: Kleeschen, Indonesian: Sinterklas) in the folklore of the Low Countries. The character first appeared in an 1850 book by Amsterdam schoolteacher Jan Schenkman. Traditionally, Zwarte Piet is black because he is a Moor from Spain.[1] Those portraying Zwarte Piet usually put on blackface make-up and colourful Renaissance attire in addition to curly wigs and bright red lipstick. In recent years, the character has become the subject of controversy.

In published excerpts of his book, Don Jr, 41, tells readers that his father couldn’t possibly be a racist because he allowed him to play video games with Michael Jackson, who had an apartment in Trump Tower in Manhattan. “Oh, and by the way, given all the things my father has been called, particularly a ‘racist,’ it sure sounds odd that he’d let his son vacation with a black man or hang out with Michael Jackson, doesn’t it? If he’s a racist, he’s sure not very good at it,” The Daily Mail quotes.

Another day, another #DonaldTrump scandal. This time it involves an extremely violent and disturbing video of a fake Trump violently assaulting some of his biggest critics and rivals—including several media outlets and prominent members of the Democratic Party.

As @CNN reports, last week during an exclusive three-day conference held by pro-Trump group, American Priority, at his Miami resort, a very disturbing and violent video was played. In the video, a fake Trump is seen shooting, stabbing and assaulting several media outlets and many of his Democratic rivals. Among those attacked in the video, include Barack Obama, Maxine Waters, Kathy Griffin, John McCain, Rosie O’Donnell and Joe Biden. Practically every major media outlet was also on the hit list, such as CNN, Huffington Post, Slate, Vice and many more.

The video ends with the fake Trump driving a stake into the head of a person with a CNN logo on their face, as he then stands and smiles at what he’s just done. The video is apparently edited from the church massacre scene in the 2014 movie

The jury in the Amber Guyger murder trial has sentenced the former Dallas cop to 10 years in prison.

The sentence was issued just hours after the jury found Guyger guilty in the murder of her upstairs neighbor Botham Jean. She was looking at a maximum of life in prison.

Guyger fatally shot Jean in his own apartment a little more than a year ago, claiming that she mistook his apartment for hers and thought he was a burglar in her apartment. The jury believed that her use of deadly force was not justified.
