It makes me sad sometimes when I go out to dinner, look at the family at the table next to me and see that every single person is on their device, and they aren't really communicating. There is an unfair stereotype about pageants. They're largely mocked by social media as places where you go to talk about world peace and appear as a beauty pageant contestant, but when it comes to today's pageants, nothing could be further from the truth.
